It used to be you had 5 actual years to get 4 years of college sports. Not sure how that works with this free year of eligibility. I have no clue how if a 6th year would be allowed

If Gates can graduate why would he stay at HC? Expect he will have professional options if he wants to continue with basketball

Taking this thread down a slightly different path than the pre-game, the last time we we played Army, a healthy Townsel started. The team is not as strong without that option. Given the last few games, HC needs to be more Jekyll and less Hyde

Any word if Malcolm might return for next season?

Videos on the HC hoops Facebook page suggest that Townsel is not returning:
Yesterday, DJ Hart
So... does Gates get a video tomorrow, or is he returning? Stay tuned...

Hopefully when he appears on the videoboard tomorrow for pre-game introductions, as he's looking into the camera he'll be screaming "I'm baaaaaaaaaaack!" Yes, I know that will come after the pre-game ceremony (so we'll already have the answer).

So, basically what everyone expected when Gates and Townsel walked on campus in the fall of 2020. Other than the fact I didn't know the really tall team manager was a senior

The good news—Seems as if GG is not graduating this May or has not decided yet Possible bad news- he could still go into the Portal hoping for a 2 for 1 D1 deal, or a D2 chance.

I've seen a lot of posts talking about the grad transfer option and/or getting a head start on a Masters degree and it piqued my curiosity about what percentage of all Holy Cross grads go on to graduate or professional schools. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

On another Senior Day note. . .
When Coach Nelson came to Worcester, he inherited (among other things) 3 non-scholarship "preferred walk ons" For whatever reason, Lovisolo and Yeutter decided to move on. Quick shout out to senior DJ Hart who was the only one of the three to stay at HC

I was thinking the same thing earlier this morning: D.J. Hart: "The Last of the Mohegans."
Will Nelson give him a start today in recognition?

It's been done in many places in the past, but this squad doesn't have the margin of error to not put its best lineup on the floor

Nelson is supposed to start Hart and he can then yank him at the first whistle.
In a season where we are 7-20, do the right thing and start the kid who's busted his butt in practice for four seasons playing scout team.

If Gates can graduate why would he stay at HC? Expect he will have professional options if he wants to continue with basketball In the 70s and 80s that type of player had a shot (Adrian Dantley comes to mind, and there were others like him). Nowadays, unless Europe is a completely different style of basketball than the NBA, no way.

Re: D.J. Hart- I would love to see him score his first career points. I have always thought it most unusual that his Bio does not mention that his father played for HC.
