If we get swept by American, somebody may beat out Brennan to the exit door

Btw the youngest athletic program might be baseball and with many injuries they won a doubleheader against New Mexico

The site said they won 7-5 and 6-5 If incorrect then I certainly stand corrected

I see it now says they split as they lost 7-6 in the second game
Therefore i am in error and the record is corrected

It's still one more OOC win against D1 competition than the basketball team!

Martindale must be absolutely lighting it up in practice to justify his minutes. compared to Dorsey? Did Dorsey make a basket tonight?

I would say Dorsey, with or without a point has a better +/-

I did not see the game but the minutes breakdown shows that Martindale had the second most at 32. Kenney with no foul trouble had 19. Dorsey with foul trouble had 21.

I would say Dorsey, with or without a point has a better +/- W/o Judson HC was 5-21 from 3 point range (23 % or thereabouts) and 14-56 overall (28%). Not that I'm calling for a change in the starting lineup; but at some point or another you have to put the ball in the basket. Simply wasn't Dorsey's night.

Announcers said Gates returning next season per Nelson. Wonder if that means Nelson is returning too. Would piss a lot of people off but would not surprise me if 2022-23 has been set in stone as Nelson's last chance to do something; double-secret probation so to speak.

Looking at the play of both over the Season Points scored vs pts allowed I believe Dorsey holds the +/- advantage over Martindale
My statement is only from watching the games-looking at official stats might show something different, but I would be surprised

What about the injury that Martindale was said to have on his shooting hand? Was that real or just a rumor?

His plus might not be as high because of an injury, his liabilities on defense not so much

What about the injury that Martindale was said to have on his shooting hand? Was that real or just a rumor? Real. Agree with efg that that doesn’t explain the defensive lapses.

I agree with both of you on that, but I do wish we had his strong 3 point shot.

I agree Dorsey earned his staring job; just don't think that yesterday the minutes should have been distributed any differently. Foul trouble and you can't just stand in the corner wide open and continually take and miss those shots. Unless you get nearly every rebound, perhaps.

To be fair, earlier in the year Dorsey’s outside shots were way off. You tell on some of them as they left his hand they had no chance. Yesterday most of his threes were pretty much on target and spun out.

In the games that I have seen Dorsey rarely drives to the hoop or takes pull up twos.
