I tried to make a donation through Poster of Purple to support football and basketball. It seems those are not possible at this time. I was given a number to call, but I tried that (and the Office of Advancement number) and got a woman at a physicians group who (patiently) says she has been getting calls all morning directed to Holy Cross. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Perhaps the ice storm we had last night in NJ has caused this but that seems unlikely.
There will also be a day in May for donations to particular sports. I did make a small gift through the Power of Purple website with its overly general and very limited designations. Be well and, if you are having this weather, stay safe.

Depends on what problem you're talking about. Crusader Athletic Fund is an option

Depends on what problem you're talking about. Crusader Athletic Fund is an option I don't see that when I try to make a gift through the Power of Purple Website. There are only two designations...either what the college deems most necessary or to support students.

Rgs318, I suspected this was going to be a non-athletic push and also made a small donation just to help get the bonus donations by the BoT contributors. ($100k per every 1,000 donors). Just saw that the first 1,000 has been topped.
Bigger donation including money for football and probably women’s basketball will come later.

There are only two designations...either what the college deems most necessary or to support students. The drop-down selection menu was/is confusing. Initially, it appears as if you have only two choices. But if you choose one of the choices, then there is a second drop-down menu. In the second drop-down menu, you can designate the CAF, but not individual sports.

Thanks, Pak. I did get through to HC on my cell phone and got to make donations to football and basketball. Our land lines here are still screwed up - but that seems to be a local phone issue. Start phones can get through. The young woman who helped me said the campus is closed today because of weather. She is working remotely from Natick. She also said we are about to hit 2000 donors to the Power if Purple! If anyone out there has not yet donated, please give now. Even a small donation can be a BIG help.

Believe the $500K, if they get it is the max, Lou. I think that's why I was never asked to be on the BoT . . . . . I couldn't financially qualify and I'm not a Jesuit!

@4968 donors with three hours to go. From HC: "We are also closing in on having donors from all 50 states -- we are just three away from this milestone. Please call your Crusader friends in North Dakota, South Dakota, or Mississippi!"

How does this year’s total compare to prior years? About 800 more donors this year, gave $400k less than last year
