They're the Lions. Vs the Pats they were down 29-0, most of their secondary was out of the game injured....and they burned all 3 timeouts on defense instead of letting the Pats take some knees to get the game over with. Geniuses. |

There have been several times the last couple of years where Kalif has been wide open downfield and Goff didn’t even look at him.

If one made a list of "lovable loser" pro sports franchises, the Lions are at or pretty near the top of that list.
And in a league where because of salary caps, etc., parity is almost guaranteed.

Two Bobby Layne tidbits: (1) he was a tremendous pitcher in college at Texas, and (2) I believe he was the last man to play in the NFL without a bar on his helmet
