No report on Davis signing anywhere yet, I expect more signings over the next few weeks.

Donza goes to D2 Slippery Rock. Talk about stepping down a notch But I'm sure it accomplishes her major objective, i.e. to get out of the Naval Academy before accruing mandatory service time.

Is this The Jo she's working out in....or somewhere else where the border just happens to be purple?

The Jo. I can't make out who the retriever is but if it's Bubba it makes sense because they are both in the same boat so why not row in the same direction.

Here's "CD" UConn Associate Head Coach Chris Dailey in the good seats. She's the helpful bystander, not the protester. The Security Guard now has a UFA invite to the Vikings training camp.

Here's a new name who could end up at HC: PG Rachael Rose who was ROY in the Big South this year at South Carolina Upstate. Rose was an all-state player at Scranton Prep. She apparently is transferring because her coach just left for the job at Buffalo. In the past 48 hours, HC Women's Basketball started following her. Other than possibly Buffalo, the most logical landing place for her likely would be Bucknell, as she is very close friends with Bucknell's Cecelia Collins - who played with her for many years at Scranton Prep and for the NEPA Elite and who is also her cousin. Also her family knows Bucknell coach Trevor Woodruff well from the 15+ years he coached in the Scranton area - including four years at U. of Scranton, when his teams went 113-10. I know her Dad has followed the Bucknell program fairly closely. However it doesn't appear that Bucknell has any available scholarships at the moment. Rose has committed to Wofford.

She had a lot of interest in Bucknell, but they couldn't figure out a way to get a scholarship for her for the 2023-24 season.

It’s getting late and we need at least one more body to complete the roster - given our excellent season I’m surprised we have not secured a contribution from the portal

As long as our powder is dry we can compete for no doubters like Rachael Rose. Perhaps the coaching staff figures why sign a player early who is close to the talent level of players who will be available late.
And of course, HC has strengths but we probably aren't the first choice of players looking to upgrade. We could become more attractive as slots get filled up.
I also wouldn't trade Davis for somebody with less potential. No shame in re-recruiting her if neither party Can do better when all is said and done.

We should have a thread in which the discussion could only be about players who have actually transferred to HC. It may be because she was still impaired, but Davis did not look like a D1 player the few times a saw her play.

We should also have a dictionary definition for D-1 player for both M&W. But like beauty, it's in the eye of the beholder.

The old "I know it when I see it" rule?

I would guess that Davis has good individual skills but that maybe she didn't receive the quality of coaching or depth of playing experience that BPC did before arriving.
Being a very part time player while here hasn't helped. Hard to say.
If we can find more junior national team players from small countries seasoned by a year in a good U.S. prep school program, grab them.

It’s getting late and we need at least one more body to complete the roster - given our excellent season I’m surprised we have not secured a contribution from the portal I'm not concerned at this point as there are approximately 600 players still available, as well as any number of unsigned 2022s. It's possible that we might not hear anything until later in the summer or they might just look to add more players in the class of '23

It's disappointing. We obviously had a great chance of repeating in the PL next season–and, I thought, if we could add an impact transfer, have a chance at winning a tournament game. But, people change their minds, and life goes on. Love Fish and Taylor and Karla (and another player will be going into the portal in the next day or two), and thank them for helping us get that third 'ship this year! As expected, Jade Edwards enters the portal as a grad transfer. AU looks to be in at least in partical rebuild mode for next season. Expect they may be looking to add a transfer or 2. Edwards returns home and lands at DePaul depaulbluedemons.com/news/2022/5/19/womens-basketball-jade-edwards-returns-to-sweet-home-chicago.aspx

With all these coming home stories we need the violin back from HC's decade long promo video to do them justice.
