Looking at the team picture, if the other guys are 6-8, 6-7, 6-6, 6-5; which is what their roster says they are, he's 6-4 or 6-3. But a good looking player and tall enough. Also, he must be a tough kid as he led the team in rebounding. The hairdos of his teammates may make that judgement of mine incorrect; but the wall pattern seems to favor my opinion. I like the sharp square bottom beard of #23.

Do any of the services track the number of kids who chose to pull their name out of portal.

Lieberman also tweeted a kid from Maine withdrew his name from the portal. To balance that out, I saw another tweet about a kid entering the portal for the third time. I wonder how many hs kids are getting overlooked due to the portal and on top of that, the 5th year Covid kids.

Just disappointing that we've only heard of 3 point guard names.

Just disappointing that we've only heard of 3 point guard names. One of the few things of semi-substance that Nelson said about the team in his recent interview is how he expects Bo to take a big leap forward next season. It’s possible he’s our starting PG depending on how the rest of portal season plays out.

Maybe it will be like the Joe Reilly signing where we steal a kid from a prep school over the summer.

Maybe it will be like the Joe Reilly signing where we steal a kid from a prep school over the summer. Rather hold the scholarship than do that. If a kid is heading to prep school, it’s either because he doesn’t have a good college option or he’s looking for a better one. We’re not going to be the better option for a kid who has other D1 options so we’d be shopping in the “no good option” bin. If we can’t find a strong player among the remaining 1000 kids in the portal, we’re better off saving it. As noted previously, Nelson is unlikely to save scholarships for next year given that next year will determine whether he keeps his job the following year.

Just disappointing that we've only heard of 3 point guard names. It only takes one and there may be others we don't know of as it is possible not every kid out there wants the rest of us to know how blessed he is to have received an offer or interest from State U. I kind of miss the days long ago when we would find out in May via the Worcester Telegram and Gazette, who was part of the incoming HC men's recruiting class. Now we have websites ranking the portal players and the portal class of each team.

Even with those folks, it was usually well after the season. I think young Ronnie was a bit earlier because of his special circumstances.

Honor Huff to Chattanooga. I was really hoping we were going to land HH. Can Batch handle pg duties?

One can never have enough short (sub-6 foot) point guards.

Unless we land a pure point in the weeks ahead, Dorsey might be the closest we have to deliver in that role.

Based on last season, Bo was the only back up point that I saw. As far as I recall, Dorsey played no point,

More of a personal observation, and not based on fact or the past. Looking to get someone that can keep 4 others players involved and get them the ball - old school perhaps but looking for options

If they can't get a new guy in here for the point, might as well play Louth there - it would get him on the court, and he was one of only two regulars to have more assists than turnovers (31/28; Dorsey was 24/13).
Just kidding, so stop typing....
If Bo is going to get stuck at the point, he's going to need to improve his ratio (38 assists, 48 turnovers).
To speak serious of Louth....while he needs to improve in some areas, it is impressive for a young big to have a positive assist/to ratio. I also like that he almost always is moving towards the hoop with his moves; doesn't resort to fall away shots. Staff really needs to keep working with him.

Just guessing here -- HCBN will end up signing a kid pretty late in the process (either out of high school or from the portal) out of sheer necessity.

Based on last season, Louth will again have a tough time getting minutes other than backing up Gerrale. Seems as if to BN neither can successfully guard 4s away from the hoop. Now if we played zone, once in a while, say against American, we might see Louth and Gerrale together. Doubt it.

Did Dorsey play point guard in high school? He appeared to make some good passes last season--is he a capable ball handler?

I do not know if he played point in HS, but if BN thought he could do it, at least offensively, he would have been there ahead of Bo as Kyrell’s backup. Defensively it seems as if Dorsey would have trouble staying in front of quick points,
