Well, she is a former Princeton assistant and followed the Princeton coach to UNC. Banghart now has at least two of her assistants in the Ancient Eight. I think this is a fantastic hire by Harvard.

Yale now open as Coach Guth takes the Loyola Chicago job. I wonder if this was a leap before a push. I thought she had done a decent job, but Yale seemed to struggle to get into the top 3 in the IL

That isn't an upgrade in terms of a job but she is a Chicago area native, went to college in Illinois, and has coached in the Chicago area before. Pay cut? Maybe not. The higher the pay for the men's hoop coach at a school, the higher the pay for the women's coach, including those not initialed GA. Title IX. And remember one of BG's claims was that he was being shown the door because HC wanted to save money by bringing in someone who was cheaper than he. And BG's compensation level might have been bumped up, in part, because RW was making so much, and he was arguably as successful as RW from a W-L standpoint.
