Two fine pieces in the Spring issue. Togo’s article focuses on his appearance as the representative of the 1950s for their 75th Anniversary. The Cooz is noted for being one of only four players who have made every NBA Anniversary team: from 25th to 75th. For those who have not seen it, any guesses on the other three ?

1 of 3 Two of your choices are too young to have made the 25th team.

Obscure hint: One of them did not have his number retired by his team

How about Bob Pettit, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West ? Although now I wonder if O and West are too young?

I would think George Mikan would be one.

Paul Arizin, Sam Jones, Dolph Schayes, and Bill Sharman made the 25th anniversary team which only included 10 players . They did not make the 35th anniversary team which only included 11 players . They made the 50th and 75th anniversary team which included 50 and 75 players respectively.

Bob Cousy got the Worcester Red Sox season started with "Play Ball!!" He looked good, using a cane to get around, but sounded like his old self!..

I liked reading that President Rougeau went to visit Bob Cousy in his home

So Cousy, Russell, Petit and Mikan? Wilt hadn't retired by 1971, neither had Oscar nor West. Kareem was a second year player.

Those are the four. As far as those others go, I do not know if active players were were eligible for that 25th team. They were for the 75th.

According to the article in Wikipedia-link below--the players on that first team, the 25th anniversary--had to have completed their careers by 1971. Otherwise Chamberlain, West, and Roberston should surely have been on the team. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_25th_Anniversary_Team
