BC beats Stony Brook by 8...before about 1,000 (don't go by whatever fake # they put in the paper) at Conte Forum.

Watching Big Ten network with Florida Gulf Coast up 4 on #13 Michigan State with under 4 min left but FGC ends up losing at East Lansing by 1) clock operator error may have helped a little as full court out of bounds behind basket pass with 2.4 sec was caught by FGC player around top of key but buzzer went off prior to catch - ref said basket would have counted if the FCG shot after buzzer was made.

Cool of Indiana to play a road game at Fort Wayne. I don't think they'll be doing it again though.

Vermont picks up a nice win against Yale. They're a good kid-major this season.

So Carolina 74 Syracuse 50 That was quite a surprise. I expected to see Syracuse take a close win. Good for the Gamecocks.

Boeheim and his 2-3 zone have consistently underachieved his talent level with the two exceptions being one national championship with the player of the year, and last season's final four

I assume the game was played in Brooklyn on a semi-neutral court. If so, the Orange's significant home court advantage nullified as playing in the demi-dome is not the usual venue and almost like playing an outdoor game and takes getting used to. I am not surprised USC won but am surprised at the margin of victory.

UNH knocks off Big South Member Winthrop 65-60. Nice win. Winthrop is pretty good, having beaten Illinois earlier this season.

One of the key factors in Herrion's recent change of fortunes has been the development of an effective pipeline into Texas, of all places. Four of the five starters on the current team are from the Lone Star State.
