Season ticket buyers have to buy all games. Very few competitive games. I never knew anyone was forced to buy season tickets. Too many bad games? Then don't buy them. Prices sre are too high for some games - but way too low for others. For example a Duke season ticket-holder pays a nominal price for their home game with UNC- but that ticket may be worth well over $500.

BC basically is doing the same thing in a different way. Season tickets are sold to individuals and ticket agencies solely because they can commandeer a very high resale price for games vs NC, Duke, Syracuse, Louisville (not sure if they play them all at home, but you get my point). But absolutely no one is at a lot of the smaller ACC games and all the non leaguers. For example, vs Stony Brook, they only sold tickets walk-up for two sections in a 8,000 seat building... but there weren't more than 1,000 people there.

Even with almost an entire healthy team(1 frosh missing) Duke beat Florida with 6 players filling all but 3 minutes. With a full roster Nova beat LaSalle with 7 players. both these teams play at much faster paces than HC Not ideal, but we can win with 6-7.

Ziggy's minutes are half what they were a year ago at this time, JF's haven't advanced, and the freshmen have played a total of 16 minutes through eight games. Have looked back through past seasons, and haven't found any year in which the frosh have played so sparingly. Winning now is all well and good - and I'd love to see our seniors, KC, and PB carry the team to another title - but there may be a steep price to pay down the road.

I think one of the factors in comparing freshman playing time this year with last year is that last year the freshman were on equal footing with the upper classmen as far as learning a new offense. This season we have upper classmen with 30+ games experience with that offense versus freshmen who were introduced to it on first day of practice. That's of course not the only factor but I think it does play a role in suppressing freshman minutes

At this point last year I believe we only had one additional player Cullen Hamilton

Besides the freshmen, are we to assume that sophomore Marcellis Perkins is all but out of the picture? We haven't heard a peep from him all season. I sometimes even forget that he's on the team.

I "heard" MP had the same injury as AT so will miss the rest of the season. MP is out of the sling so he is farther along. Strictly rumor however. Good question for a Thursday coaches night. Asking where TC has been might be more of a fire starter so not recommended.

Perkins has a torn labrum, out for the season, I believe. On the other hand, at least he shows up on the bench . . .

From the AP summary:
"The teams played in front of a sparse gathering -- one of the smallest remembered in the history of Conte Forum since it opened in 1988 (minus games played during winter-weather conditions)."

The problems are much deeper than Jim C. Sure, but the problems aren't deeper than losing to Hartford.
