I wish them both all the best - but, of course, not against HC.

Looks like they kicked her upstairs, although I always liked her, others, including Bison137, felt she underperformed most seasons based on the quality of talent she was able to recruit. I think this past season was particularly underwhelming.

This is something Holy Cross should have done with BG instead of the fiasco the ensued. I get not renewing his contract for performance but with 30 years of service would have been an asset in athletic administration or even fundraising for the school. Instead of kicking him to the curb.

Not sure if this particular season is a fair representation of underperforming though as they had multiple injuries to starters and some folks playing through some undisclosed ailments as well. Good for Troyan for going 27 years and for managing/adjusting to the new generation of players and the challenges that come with that. And kudos to Lehigh for allowing a transition that reflects Troyan's grace and class. Wow, this league changed coaches a ton in this last stretch of years.

Did they kick her upstairs or did she willingly walk up there...? Pure speculation but coaching is not what it was for someone who was coaching even five years ago, let alone someone whose been in the profession for 30+ years. Wouldn't totally surprise me if she had some willingness to make this move and be done with all the headaches that comes with recruiting / coaching players in this 2020s. Wonder if Bison has any insight into this as he's pretty tied into the PL "know".

Probably a bit of both.

As routine a move as Bruce Arians moving upstairs to an equally undefined role with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Nothing to see here.🙂
Actually, either way it's a smooth gracious transition and she can help with fundraising, mentoring and alumni/community relations. You can't just go onto Linked In and order up a college administrator/representative with thirty years of positive association with Lehigh and it's community.
