HC admissions has probably always looked favorably at Bishop Molloy and Deerfield Academy grads, I assume. I like the fact that he has started numerous D-1 games. You can't duplicate that experience with a traditional 18 year old freshman.

If it mean's Bo and Dorsey can spend more time off the ball, then I think that's a good thing, at least.

If this staff has actually been learning through trial and error (lots of error I know) and this roster can put it all together next season, it'll be a heck of a story.

It's a big school but definitely doesn't send anywhere near what Chaminade, St. Anthony's, Fordham Prep, Regis and Xavier do to Holy Cross. Or Ursuline or Dominican Academy for girls.

Once again, that is one big "IF" longsuffering. You are quite correct, it could be one great story. I am a fan of HC and its teams, so they have my support whatever the case. I also believe this staff has improved the overall talent level of those on the team, so I do hope they can put it all together before the season starts. What I hope we avoid is another series of losses as part of another out of conference "training camp." Welcome, Jade.

1- in regards to his grades, his 3,8 GPA at Molloy, a challenging academic school, is a sign he did not need any special considerations 2- I forgot that he did not play point at Molloy since they had Cole Anthony(Orlando Magic) there a a starter for his first three years before transferring for his senior year to Oak Hill.

Molloy also had two other ESPN Top 100 players in addition to Anthony. I believe one is in the NBA and the other is going to be a grad transfer for Fordham in the fall after playing four years at Georgia Tech. Odds are Tse’s hs team will be the most talented team he ever plays on.

Assume he has 2 years eligibility. Longshot that it's 3.
Is his name pronounced "See" or "Say" or something else? Those were the usual ways Chairman Mao's name was pronounced.

Apparently, Tse has more than the necessary academic qualifications to attend HC. He seems to be a high level student. One who would have been admitted by any HC's admissions office whether or not he played ball. Let's hope he can be the on court facilitator HC needs. Based on her track record, I find it very hard to believe that McDermott would have allowed transfers from Indiana State & Houston Baptist in the same offseason.

HBU has 2300 undergraduates and 17 D-1 sports including FB. It plays in the same conference as New Orleans who sent us Gerale Gates. Jade was not ROY like GG however. Thanks Southland Conference, an eight school geographically compact D-1 conference, which I like as a size for a conference. Our new farm league?

Well, Coach listened to Crossporters..He got a pg and a big.... Is everybody happy? Crossporters will be happy if we start winning consistently. I don’t know that we are materially better on paper than we were last year. But, lots can happen in terms of player development and growth over an off-season. We shall see. If we don’t get a lot better, we’ll again be in the market for a new head coach.

Until we win more than we lose we aren’t improving Summer sun might be impacting our reactions to the signing of very solid players and likely terrific people.
Until we get a coach that can win I will just say thank you to the young men who are wearing purple for their commitment to our school, a love for the game, and unbelievable faith this staff can turn it around
Pulling for the kids, but I fear we need to hold our nose for yet another season.
Mismanagement by the Board is unacceptable and I welcome their removal as soon as possible. As they say this is only money and at some point we need to do what is right for the players, fans, and former players. The board continues to care only about their role as a member of what was once an august group
Gone like the wind until football returns and wish all a special summer
God Bless all Of Worcester that deserves so much more

I hope Kit and whichever Associate AD supervises MBB is keeping a solid database on the D-2/3 coaches who are demonstrating great competence in turning around programs so they will be ready to respond with surety if necessary.
We got lucky that Chesney was across town. Does anyone think Nate Pine made himself an expert on the best rising stars in D-2/3 nationwide between when he let TG go and he hired Chesney?
To lure a head coach who has demonstrated great success in D-1 would realistically be very expensive the way salaries have inflated and with HC's situation, we would probably have to overpay. Can't see another logical reason for a winning D-1 coach to swap schools for HC.
To go with yet another career assistant who looks good on paper and interviews well would be a huge risk.
You can get more pure coaching competence per dollar among the rising stars in the lower divisions than in D-1 I would think. Those guys are most likely going to take command at some mid major. Why not HC if we need a new coach?

I am happy that the coaching staff addressed two major needs
I will be a lot happier if the additions turn out to be quality ball players who work cohesively with their teammates in such a manner that translates into a significantly better win-loss record
