'Going forward, we should be requiring a return home game when an AD leaves while under contract' - Are you serious ? BBC, What college sports world are you living in ? We have leverage when these young guys are looking for their first job, and should be handling their contracts accordingly. Here is an example of how VCU handles this with their basketball coaches: www.nytimes.com/2019/11/13/sports/ncaabasketball/vcu-coach-contracts.html

If the applicant is picky let him go. It's not like he/she has a single win as the person in charge on their resume. First time minor sport head coach is different. HC doesn't fund those positions like AD and MBB Head Coach.

Surprised to see Creighton on the schedule....
HC 67 - Creighton 47, January 6, 1951 @ Worcester
HC 97 - Creighton 60, February 1, 1956 @ Worcester
Would appear to be the fulfilling the long delayed 2 for 1 home and away deal from 70 years ago. 🤣
Wonder if Marcus will do Holy Cross a solid and have the Blue Jays in Worcester in the near future.....Highly unlikely.
According to Ticket Smarter, basketball tickets are reaching prices up to $103.00 for the best seats available.

I still think it would be interesting to figure what percentage of fans to attend games at the Hart Center in its history did so in the first 5 years. Just off the top of my head I am guessing at least 25%.

With U-Hartford in no man's land for this final season before they drop to D-3, I'd have to think they'd be on the home schedule. Trying to put together a full schedule as a transitioning independent with essentially no budget is virtually impossible. They catch a bit of a break in that both the NEC and America East have an odd number of teams which could allow them to potentially schedule the team that is on "bye" when conference season begins, but I'm guessing they'll be spending an awful lot of hours on the bus this season.

Some if not all of those games were probably scheduled when both HC and BC had Jesuit Presidents. Obviously maintaining an athletic relationship between D-1 Jesuit schools an hour apart is no big deal to the actual Jesuits.
However, kudos to BC for scheduling Stonehill to welcome them to D-1. We have one more game with Stonehill at the Worcester Auditorium to complete the contract I believe. The Jim Dougher/George Blaney Classic.🙂

Since their men play HC this year, their is an interest in their program, as it should be a game that the Cross should be favored.
The men’s schedule is brutal with only two home games this season.

^ Pretty sure no one here gives a rat's ass about who Hartford plays in soccer. Pretty sure their soccer schedules and how heavy it is on road games shows you how much trouble they are going to have with getting home games in hoops. Chicago State is going there for back to back soccer games three days apart in the middle of the season. I would expect similar weird stuff in hoops.

BC's ooc schedule released and we're not on it - 4 NE teams visit Conte Forum, URI, UNH, Maine and Stonehill
Rhody's visit to BC will be the conclusion of a H&H series that the Eagles backed out of two years ago for Covid reasons. The teams still met that season in a neutral site game put together at the last minute in a fan-less Mohegan Sun with BC getting a win. URI hosted the Eagles last season and played them again a week later in Daytona Beach claiming victories in both. Rhode Island has met Boston College ten times in the last thirty years with URI holding a 6-4 advantage despite just three games being in Kingston.

Impressive. Does URI claim a geographic section of RI as Ram country as opposed to Friar country? I bet many Rhode Islanders like both teams.

I am currently a Rhode Islander and have been for over 2 decades. People tend to be either Friar or Ram fans but not both. Seems no one is a Brown fan (not even sure Brown alums and students are fans), jury still out on Bryant. That said, I do not root against either PC or URI unless they are playing Holy Cross. I have met Ed Cooley and he is a very nice and decent man and apparently a more than decent coach. He was brought up within a mile of Community Prep school where I did my IVC volunteer tours and came to speak and inspire the kids there. Picture I took with the 3rd grade class in 2013.

I brought up UH as a potential home opponent seeing how they are in a position of weakness, are 80 minutes away, and would possibly satisfy the D2/D3 home opponent instead of bringing in Assumption or Nichols or whomever. Someone else made a relevant post showing their soccer team basically has to be road warriors in order to field a team. We were not "analyzing" the UH soccer program. If you don't like a post, it takes zero effort to skip on by, but a lot of effort to bitch about it. There are like 20 people in this group, most of whom are older which I respect greatly (and love hearing strories and insights of great games and players of the past, many of which my late father attended and recited), but a few seem to always be looking for conflict which ruins this site. With the T&G a shell of itself, this was my place for insight. I'll just head to Fitton for the opener and enjoy the game and hopefully a great season. Too much gnashing of the teeth here. ^ Pretty sure no one here gives a rat's ass about who Hartford plays in soccer.
