Deegan Laube committed to Holy Cross. He is NOT the #32 I was hoping for so, but nice get. I'm still hoping for #33 today. Best recruiting class I can remember but it would be really good to get that last tantalizing guy that feels so close but not here yet. Hoops, you probably didn't realize how often you were with the Laube's out at those beach cocktail parties in the Hamptons. We try our best to avoid the South Fork in the summer months. Traffic and crowds are brutal Have not been to one of those cocktail parties in years.

In looking at the other PL football team's football pages and twitter feeds, it is unquestionable that the gap between HC and the rest of the league has widened, and not by a little As I have stated before, I do not like this trend as we can anticipate the PL losing many ooc games to the NEC, Ivy and CAA in the coming season. I just don't see the necessary commitment across the board CAA, CAA, CAA

From the small town of Westhampton Beach, Suffolk County, Long Island Not known for football Except for his brother Dylan, of course. One of my favorite Hamptons areas (along with neighboring Quogue) because it’s far enough west that traffic coming home on a Sunday isn’t always horrific.

Not only is it a significantly better conference, but URI/UNH/UMaine should all draw better at Fitton than our Patriot League opponents.

Don't have to encounter the madness of Route 27 to go there.

Well said, coach! Heck, even the alumni and fans can "have it all."

Chesney has such a complete grasp of what he wants to say. He is eloquent and describes our school in such a meaningful way. We are so blessed to have him. The epitome of Coach as superb teacher.

The NIL needs federal guidelines. until there are federal standards, we might keep Chesney at HC for an extended period of time as few if any coaches want to deal with the craziness, plus the portal of today.
My good friend Marty Gold, has represented the NFL since we rewrote the Panama Canal Treaty and departed from the Senate Intelligence Committee, 78-79 time frame
Marty is working to create a federal standard for the current NIL opportunities.
Thoughts and ideas are welcome

Whatever it is, have a few judges (retired or otherwise in no position to ever have to rule on it) take a look at it to make sure it will stand up in court.

If he is successful and it is reviewed by SCOTUS it will survive

One thing this roster appears to offer today is approaching FBS talent, quickness, speed, and depth
Not yet, but getting closer
the challenge for the staff will be settling on a 2023 roster, integrating the new talent, and making the culture even stronger!

The roster limit is a question I have - as I understand it the schools increased the number from 90 to 95 because of a Covid adjustment but what is the number for 2023 ? I think our roster right now is over 100

Right now it’s 99. 38 Seniors. 13 coming back makes 74.
We added 33 so it currently sits at 107. I don’t expect to be at 107 come September but that’s where we are currently.

I am wondering if for the purpose of whatever the PL cap now is, that an adjustment upward was introduced to allow for so many of these COVID fifth year seniors being rostered. And that the fifth years are counted as matriculating for only half an academic year. That is, if there are 12 fifth years on the roster in the fall, they only count as six.
This upward ratchet would not benefit Bucknell, but I believe all the other PL rosters had fifth year COVID seniors last season.
