What if any, are the eligibility standards for AAU ball. Is there an age cutoff, does signing a letter of intent remove you from AAU ball? Just wondering.

I thought there were no AAU teams in the spring/summer that contained high school seniors, just rising seniors and younger.
If a young man or woman is doing a post grad year somewhere, I guess they could still play. But maybe I'm wrong about that.
Signing a NLI can't possibly prevent someone from playing in the fall before their senior year. If there's some injury concern then why can they play high school/prep ball in the first place...same injury chance.

Do not confuse the old AAU off season hoops with the current sneaker circuit. The 3 major shoe companies sponsor with big bucks most of the elite grass roots teams. They hold separate tournaments leading to a champion for each. Only rising seniors are eligible for the top group, the under 17s. There are also tournaments for the under 16s, mostly rising juniors.
