First thought was that it was unusual to sign only 3. Then I looked at the roster to discover that we graduate only 2 seniors ! Three years ago we had 7 freshmen listed on the roster. Of those seven, only Mike Barrett (don't think he's missed a game in four seasons) and Logan Smith (played quite a bit as a frosh and soph but only 6 games as a junior and 2 so far this season) are on the roster this year Cameron Lawson played 18 games as a freshman and was on roster as a sophomore but stats show no games Brett McKinnon played 24 games as a freshman and 25 as a sophomore but was not on the roster as a junior Nick Finn-- 26 frosh games, 17 junior games, not on roaster as junior Grant Garvin--played 5 games as a freshman and was not on roster in following years John Cross-- played 5 games as a freshman and was not on roster in following years

Calipari-like phenomenon....one'n'done. Isn't there quite a difference between UK basketball one-and-done and what we may have this season at HC hockey? One-and-done basketball players at UK leave school after a single season to become NBA players (e.g. John Wall) and make millions. The hockey student-athletes who play one season at Holy Cross are not leaving to go to the NHL--it's likely a matter of injuries or the recognition that they don't have the talent to garner a lot of playing time. Moreover, in prior seasons we see a different picture: 2015-16= 8 seniors on roster 2014-15= 4 seniors on roster 2013-14= 5 seniors on roster 2012-13= 6 seniors on roster

Plus Calipari's(and many others) one and dones almost always go to class (?) only for the first semester to be eligible for the second semester. What a fraud. And of course those leaders of education, the college presidents, go along, as long as the $$ keep rolling in.

KY- Again....why do you guys take everything 100% literally. Of course there are differences......but there are some similarities, e.g., players leaving early. That's all I meant. We all know the differences between Kentucky bball and HC hockey. Lighten up.

I thought the facts should be brought out so that no casual reader should think that HC had a recurring problem with exploiting players for a single season and prrverting the wholesomeness of college athletics as many observers feel Coach Cal does year after year
