Pretty interesting how they gave a short bio of the history and current activities in the listing.

One thing that stood out to me was that "Higher Education" was only mentioned once in the Requirements section, and listed as "ideally in higher education," so not mandatory. I take it as a positive sign that we are trying to modernize our approach.

I checked the HC school twitter which only has 17.7k followers which is terribly low for a school that churns out 3k alums every four years. You would think that number would be much higher. The athletics twitter is at 11.8k.

Nothing really that exciting.

I checked the UNH school twitter which only has 30.7k followers which is terribly low for a school that churns out 18k alums every four years. You would think that number would be much higher. The athletics twitter is at 21.3k.

Seton Hall, with roughly 10,000 grads and undergrads, have 14,000 followers on Twitter.
Siena, with 3,500 students, have fewer than 10,000 followers.
Fire everyone.

No one gives us the riveting info that Foley does from his parents basement every nite when half of the country is asleep.

I checked the Brian Foley Photography Twitter which only has 2 followers and those two relatives have not been very active of late. Since I don't have a company twitter with my photo work, that wouldn't be true. I just feel like these jobs are missing the boat with looking at traditional communications as being the future. The market is changing... But go on...

Substance over style. If HC builds a better mousetrap, the world will beat a path to it's door.
Communications techniques are important but too much is communicated about too little these days, so build substance and any competent professional can get the word out.
Gonzaga didn't become a household name in the college sports world because of it's social media or communications director.
Besides, how many colleges have a Knighted SID like Sir Charles Bare?

For crying out loud. The obvious reason all these Twitter accounts are low is because many thousands have dropped their Twitter accounts in protest of some high exposure person(s) having been banned from the platform.
Nothing at all to do with number of alums, fans, support or lack of support for various schools.

Weird topic.
Twitter has been around for 16 years, so 17.7 followers would account for every alumni, plus some
My son goes to HC, but does not use Twitter
I follow HC. However, I also followed W&M, where my daughter went, but stopped once she graduated. I will do the same with HC.
I did the math, it adds up

Ha…college FB followers are 95% moms, plus 4, worried about what mattress size sheets they need to buy or whether theirs kids will get up in time to make it to class.
