Only PLPoW Honorable Mentions to Sluka, Jake Reich and Haskins. Another defender with big tackle numbers on a losing team, Lehigh, gets DPoW

Jake Reich got HOM as well with 3 sacks. Kuz got screwed on stats. He had 5 Total tackles 3 TFLs 1 sack and 3 QBHs. He was credited for a fraction of that. It was the most dominant performance in a long time by 2 HC D-Ends against an opposing O-line. They lived in the back field all day. They both also played VERY well against Yale. Other observations after rewatching Yale and Colgate. Terrell Prince might be the best run support safety in the PL. Dante Bolden improving every week. Williams getting more snaps at NG, splitting ~50/50 with Springer now. John Smith is good at football.

Speaking of Terrell Prince- did he get to experience every defenders dream on that punt at Yale: getting to hit a stationary defender at full speed.? I’ll bet the Yale return guy calls for a fair catch on the next 10 punts.

Only PLPoW Honorable Mentions to Sluka and Haskins. Another defender with big tackle numbers on a losing team, Lehigh, gets DPoW At 4-0 with a win over an FBS program and a top half Ivy League opponent, we have not captured one PL OPOY or DPOY. Kind of amusing. I suppose the argument could be made that our offensive and defensive production is very well balanced, thereby making it difficult for one player to amass gaudy enough stats to claim one of these awards.

Gate beat Fordham last year....they were sort of a sneaky 5-1 in PL play last year....pretty sure this year's game is at Fordham Seems like there have been a lot of sneaky 5-1 PL teams over the last 15 years, several of whom have won the league with 5 or 6 OVERALL wins.

Did anyone see SFA beat an NAIA team 98-0 today And they went for 2 when they scored their last TD (didn’t convert)! There's absolutely no excuse for that unless it was a busted play scenario if snap was botched on the PAT. Up 99-0 and you REALLY want 100? Either get a defensive or special teams TD or give the ball to your 7th string walk-on RB and see if he can take it to the house on a dive play through the A gap.

Any word of Dobbs' injury? I highly doubt and hope there will be no talk of Dobbs’ injury in the public forum. Whether he’s 100% ready to go Saturday or out indefinitely. Like Harvard, most should and will find out at the coin toss on Saturday at 1pm. I'm not sure why no one should ask if Dobbs is ok. If someone chooses to answer "I think he's ok", or "not sure if he's ready" is so egregious. I do understand that it would not be appropriate for that to be the beginning of a more indepth discussion of anyone's medical issue. If it's about keeping it secret from Harvard, we probably differ on it's importance. Thanks. And I'm not looking personally for any info on his status but hope he can play.

There are many reasons why not to discuss the personal health and well being of any of our Crusaders especially during a period of time when the discussion would simply be viewed as 'speculation.'
Let's remember that our Crusaders are NOT professional athletes. They are student-athletes in the truest sense of the word which is why it is so gratifying and worthwhile to support them in their 'commitment to excellence on and off the field.'
Aside from these personal factors, there are a host of other reasons for the program as well NOT to want boards of this sort to engage in speculation. We can display our appreciation for the efforts of the coaches and the student-athletes by respecting their rights to personal privacy. Whether Jacob, Pat McMurtrie, Byron, Jacob Petersen, Christian Ross and/or anybody who suffered an injury at any point in the Colgate game, prior games, practice, training or slipping in the shower, let's allow all of our Crusaders the benefit of personal privacy that they deserve when it comes to topics of this nature.
Let's Win!!

#BeatHarvard If there was actual media covering the team day in and day out, injuries/availability would be asked in the coach’s press conference.

And some schools no doubt answer those questions more directly than others. Our practice has been not to discuss injuries to our players publicly. I suspect Jen Toland and anyone else who covers the team knows this and therefore doesn’t bother asking. While frustrating for fans, it’s probably best for the student-athletes and may give us a small advantage in presenting uncertainty as our future opponents try to game plan for us.

Is there a highlight video for the Colgate game?

I could not find a highlight video from the game on 9/24/22, however I did find this game day recap from the HC vs Colgate game from 1965. I am sure that RGS attended. 🙂

RGS' game story in "The Crusader" described the Colgate QB as having a slingshot for an arm.

Wow...getting critiques of my writing after all this time is most interesting. I do seem to. remember that the players were a bit "taller" than those in the video.

I seem to remember that if the metal pieces they rested on got bent, the players ran amok!

My question is how long did it take to paint all of the players' uniforms!
