Massey has HC as a three point underdog (45% chance for the win) with a 21-24 score. I usually don't always agree with Massey, but I do think Harvard will be our toughest game and it is the only one on our schedule that has us on the short end. Had us winning by 10 vs Colgate and we somehow managed a 25 point victory. I see the Harvard game with a very good running back and a good QB being 3 pts or less. I think we can put up some points through the air vs them. We will see. Look forward to everyone's analysis.

WBZ meteorologist just predicted sunny and 60s for Saturday. I'm going with him since I already bought my tickets.

I know it's Harvard and on the road and in the past that has been a struggle.
Are the 2 Harvard wins and scores really that impressive?

#27 Harvard beat #93 Merrimack (28-21 in overtime) and #81 Brown (35-28) after letting most of a big early lead slip away. That may be less important than the fact that HC has never beaten Harvard and Yale in football in the same season...NEVER. Also, Harvard beat HC last year at Fitton by a score of 38-13.

While Colgate had a number of successful broken plays, our open field tackling was lacking and must be better moving forward

rgs318.... you need to correct the time of the game.... it is at 1:00pm not 1:30pm.... otherwise some on the board might be arriving late and miss part of the 1st quarter...

Interesting they are holding the Title IX celebration at the game of an all male sport that has no female counterpart.

Interesting they are holding the Title IX celebration at the game of an all male sport that has no female counterpart. The existence of football has created more scholarships for women athletes than anything else under Title IX and it’s not particularly close.

Then you’d think all the lady athletes would come to the football games in appreciation.😂

Looked up the Harvard-Brown box score to see what happened. Harvard threw 3 TD passes in the first half (two to their main guy Wimberly) to take a 21-0 left lead into the break. Harvard threw an 81 yard TD pass on the first play of the second half to go up 28-0. Brown had a 10 play drive to cut it to 28-7. Three plays later, Harvard was back in the end zone on a 67 yard run and had a 35-7 lead. Brown scored 3 TDs in the fourth, presumably against the prevent defense. Brown had the ball in Harvard territory when the game ended. So, it feels like a game where Harvard could score whenever it wanted and they took the air out of the ball in the fourth. Wouldn’t get overconfident based on the final score.

Interesting they are holding the Title IX celebration at the game of an all male sport that has no female counterpart. The existence of football has created more scholarships for women athletes than anything else under Title IX and it’s not particularly close. And possibly contributed to ending football at some schools like BU and NU that give scholarships and not impeded the adding of football at non-scholarship D-3 schools like Anna Maria, Becker and Mt. Ida. It would be a net gain if those D-3 schools could just stay open.

Weather looks ok on Weather.com (although there could be some showers on my Sunday tee time!). Interesting to see if the Johnnies RV or sneak into a poll this week.
Cruskater and Mrs. Cruskater will be in attendance!
