GS had a team record 47 assists on 53 hoops in a 149-106 win over the Lakers. That was the most assists in the NBA since 1991. This was their team record 9th straight game with 30 or more assists and 11th in 15 games. they shot 53-86 and 19-36 from three And Oh yes, they committed only 10 turnovers. In 29 minutes Curry scored 31 on 11-18, 7-12 from three with 9 assists and 1 turnover

More evidence last night with a 45 assist(on 54 FG, 11 turnovers) game and Klay T. scoring 60 points in 3 quarters, total of 29 minutes. He shot 21-33, inc. 8-14 on threes. I watched the first half(80-50) with Thompson having 40. He did not take one bad shot. The Warriors had 15 assists to one turnover on 17 FG in the first quarter. He and the team scored on more back cuts than I had ever seen in a game. The most unselfish team at any level I have seen in 60 years of watching hoops. check out this play for the ages

Ironic that is happening in the NBA because in my view NBAball over the years has ruined the college game as well as the NBA game with its emphasis on kamikazi stars, the most famous being Michael. Passing reveals the true beauty of the game--NOT DUNKS. That's why I love the PO.

As support for the best of all time, the Warriors are currently averaging 32 assists per game, the highest in NBA history, at least as long as assists have been calculated. They are also shooting .502 fg%, also leading the league.

The 1970 Knicks were the best that I had seen before the Warriors. when Parrish and McHale(the black hole) were in, I would not put the 86 Celtics with the Knicks or Warriors. Walton certainly put them closer when he was in. Reed and DeBusschere were very good passers for bigs.

Last night the Warriors assisted on their first 36 baskets !! They finished with 41 assists on 45 fgm, their third game this season with 40 or more assists, the first team to do that since the 96-97 Bulls, Jordan's NBA champs. this year's Warriors assist on a league leading 72.6 % of their FGM,second is the Celts at 64.4 for comparison last season the Warriors led with 68%. .the main difference is Durant's passing not surprisingly, they also lead in assists per game at 31.4.second is Houston at 25.4
