Rutgers fired their OC yesterday; he will be paid the remainder of his $1,025,000 salary this year and $1,050,000 in 2023.

It probably would have been wiser just to keep him, redelegate his responsibilities, and avoid the (anticipated) public outcry. Nice to get a raise AFTER you're fired.

If there is a bad way to try to accomplish something, you can bet Rutgers will find it. I remember the HC wins over Rutgers back in the day (including the one with blocked kicks, one PAT caught and returned for a score) with great fondness.
