I commented earlier about the expenses for businesses. I didn't think much about the residents. Deeds need to be re-written. Mortgages need to be re-written. There's more to all this than changing a bunch of street signs.
A funny thing is that UMass which is requesting this wouldn't have to deal with most of those hassles because their legal address is on Lake Ave

The next deed out for any given property would simply sat something like "123 _________St., formerly known as Plantation Street."

Plimoth Plantation Highway was changed to something else, noticed that when I drove on Rt 3 lately. Is Plimoth Plantation itself renamed?

What about the name "Chan"? Doesn't that bring back references to Charley Chan, which, I'm sure, fails the racist litmus test these days. Has to go. The name refers to the family of Gerald Chan, who made an $175 million gift to the school. Maybe you're trying to be funny, but your post is in very bad taste. Methinks some take this board too seriously at times.

Formerly Plimoth Plantation, it replicates the original settlement of the Plymouth Colony established in the 17th century by the English colonists who became known as the Pilgrims, as well as that of the Patuxet people upon whose land the Pilgrims settled. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plimoth_Patuxet
