Because the University of Texas doesn't produce enough nurses??
Seems like an odd place to choose given the competition and, oh yeah, about 2,000 miles.

HC could start an undergraduate program of four or more years duration leading to the P A. certification but including a solid liberal arts education that wouldn't prohibit graduates from applying to medical school.
Nurse could remain the word not spoken.
