It certainly does. I applaud his actions and I hope that his career soon takes off again. From what I have read, the University treated him shabbily.

In the broader sense, he may be justified. But his claims about the Dartmouth game sound bogus to me. Probably just wants out, but he should have quit back in April.

The Associate Head Coach or equivalent gets a great career opportunity. Destined to be a D-3 Assistant next year he becomes a D-1 (interim I assume) Head Coach this year.

That might be the worst claim I have ever seen....Hartford does have five trainers listed on their site but it is common for trainers to not travel here and there.

It seems on the same level as blaming an official for not making a call after a bad collision where a player gets injured.
Assuming the officials hadn't up to that point lost control of the game; did the "no call" cause the injury? In this case, would a trainer sitting on the bench have prevented the kid from going down?
Kind of silly to piss away several months' salary as well unless Gallagher already has something lined up.

The row behind the Iona bench is the best dressed row in any MAAC gym.

I think there is more to this story.

He thinks the school screwed him with the move to D3, so he screwed the school. It's that simple.

Seeems like he’s really only screwing the kids. The school obviously doesn’t care about the season and him quitting may save them some money so they might be quite happy.

The school is the one who porked the kids as they signed on to play D1 ball.

The school is the one who porked the kids as they signed on to play D1 ball. No the school didn't...the kids on the team now had the ability to transfer elsewhere for the last two years (summer of 2021 and 2022). The school has honored the scholarships of anyone that wanted to stay at the school. The team currently has three grad students on the roster with six freshmen. Gallagher screwed over those nine kids who signed up to play for him this year.
