Real depth for HC...10 players, 9 of whom scored.

Did not see the game but from the box score the three frosh look like they belong - good games from Flanagan, Donnelly and Foreman

179 minutes played by guards and 61 minutes played by forwards. I thought we needed Allen to break out, and she has. I thought we might have a strong contributor in Wright and thought Berger might continue to be a development project much like Megan Swords was.
Berger has exceeded expectations and I hope her FG% improves steadily like Megan's did. She seems to be moving well and might have a higher ceiling than Swords did.
Perhaps the staff can continue to Coach up Wright like they have done with Berger.

Let’s not forget Cara McCormack for a spark and an offensive threat.—-Looks like she’ll be back soon.

She was just starting to get meaningful mins when she blew out her ACL. Manis was the starting center. She struggled offensively as a soph, in part recovering from her injury, but was very good on both ends of the floor her last 2 years. I hope that Berger can stay injury free and continues to improve. Although 2 games is a pretty small set to judge but it appears she put in the work over the summer.

$29.99 marked down to zero. Thanks Crucis. When does HC score? The AL Maguire Center has that mid century Catholic School gym look to it. I like it.

I forgot about the injury and just checked Megan's scoring averages and shooting percentages which steadily increased over her career. Thanks for filling in the blanks.

Was the reason BPC only played 15 minutes foul trouble or something else?

She did wind up with 4 fouls. Hard to be competitive in today’s game when we attempt only 7 threes Marquette attempted 16

Hard to be competitive in today’s game when we attempt only 7 threes Marquette attempted 16 BPC picked up 2 fouls in the first 5 mins of the game, didn't return until 2nd half. picked up her after about 3 mins came back for the last couple of mins & picked up her fourth about 2.5 mins in. She never got untracked. 3 shooting may be an issue this season

Our big folks were caught flatfooted on several of the highlights trying to guard someone on the perimeter. Gotta work on that.
The "Al" has a listed capacity greater than the Hart Center, and it looks like more chairs as well. I know, the least of HC's problems these days.

The "Al" is only used for WBB and VB these days. MBB plays at the Bucks arena.

Never remember Marquette playing an on-campus men's game. The Mecca, then the Bradley Center, now whatever replaced that.

I assume the "Al" is buzzing when UConn WBB is in town. I wonder if they have ever moved those games to the off campus arena?

Despite the number of UConn fans who attend their road games, I don’t believe they’ve ever sold out the 3700 seat McGuire Center. Marquette generally does not draw very well for women’s basketball.

Never remember Marquette playing an on-campus men's game. The Mecca, then the Bradley Center, now whatever replaced that. It is the Big East....basically everyone plays off-campus for at least some of their men's basketball games.
