A real talent meets a real coach. Good for Luc. He was smart to leave this dumpster fire. Can’t wait til we have a real coach again. What is it about Schmidt that you really like? Any specific examples of his approach to offense or defense that you can cite? 15 seasons at St. Bonaventure, Olean, NY .580 winning percentage .560 in A-10 3 losing seasons, all in first 6 years, two in first 3.

Yes. I’m kidding. So far there is not an iota of evidence that he’s got the ability to turn the program around after somehow making things worse than Carmody.

Pretty decent resume I'd say.

And he’s done it at a really hard place to recruit to. Very good coach.

121-82, Celtics over the Hornets...at the end of the 3rd period..and no Horford or Brown...(it's another game!)

I don't know why the NBA insists on so many back-to-backs; the players have enough (rightfully so) leverage these days to rest when needed and the product is diluted.
Celts won easily Sunday night w/o Tatum and doubly easy tonight w/o Horford & Brown. But people pay to see their best out there and often they don't get it.

The Celtics are a fun team to watch this season...Not a typical NBA team...Very deep, and talented. Catch a game if you haven't seen one..

Not to offend, but “General Sports Discussion” thread ? I thought it was just another game...I ddn't think it would generate much response, just something to know...

AU wins its fifth straight in an 88-62 rout of Albany at Bender. We shot...71 percent from the floor, 73 percent on three-pointers and 83 percent from the line. We had 23 assists on 35 made field goals. Outrebounded the Danes by 29-17. Freshman guard Geoff Sprouse, who got PL Rookie of the Week honors this week, was 10 of 11 from the floor en route to a career-best 25 points.
Longest non-conference win streak since the 2011-12 season, when we won eight in a row. I don't know how this is going to turn out, but we're playing some of the best basketball I've seen in years.

Brennan seems like a nice enough guy and I’m glad to see he’s gotten off to a nice start this season. To be honest, I thought he was going to be looking for a job after last season.

Brennan is a very nice guy and a good coach. He has had trouble recruiting and with transfers lately, but it seems as if he has a cohesive bunch so far. I wish him success in all but two games.

Memo to the next HC coach: get on hchoops' good side. After a great first year, in the last EIGHT seasons, Brennan has an overall record of 88-137 (.391) and pL record of 55-81 (.404).

Yet he beat your man (still ?) three times last season playing the exact same style in each game. Good to have you posting again. Memo to the next HC coach: Beware of a Caro endorsement.

Maybe TPTB at AU have only attended games against HC during Brennan's tenure, particularly against FCMB and CBN teams. He's looked like a HOFer in most of those games.

Look who is 5-1 Rutgers leading scorer and assist man Former PL Loyola’s Cam Spenser. Top scorer could change when McConnell reruns from an injury tonight.

Brennan is 71-87 in the PL (not including the corona year, where AU only played ten games against a few teams). 14 wins against Holy Cross (to four losses...all of which came to Carmody) The next school he has the most wins against in the PL: Navy and Loyola at nine. He's dominated HC.
