K State over Mich State in an OT thriller. Nowell with a tournament record 19 assists. One of the best games I have seen a point guard play in the Big Dance, rivaling NYC (Rice HS) and UConn guard Kemba Walker. Besides the 19 assists(to 2 turnovers), Nowell (Bishop Loughlin- Bklyn) had 20 points, and 5 steals, including the game clinching strip of fellow New Yorker Tyson Walker(Christ the King-Jave Mead) on MSU’s last possession.

Sad to say…it would have taken one our players at least two probably 3 or 4 games to equal that total this year. 🤔😳
Hope that change is in the air with a new offense.

Gonzaga does everything in their power to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...then wins the game on a 3 pointer launched from the vicinity of the midcourt logo.

Mick Cronin was missing his two best defenders. His strategy of single coverage in Timme gave Drew free range for 36 almost all in the paint. Strawther’s long shot, not a heave, saved Timme, who had /Daly missed two free throws to give UCLA the chance to go up by two. The game was eerily reminiscent of the National semi between the same teams when the Zags’ Jalen Suggs made a longer buzzer beater to give the Zags the win after UCLA had apparently won on its own clutch three seconds before. That game culminated four terrific games, the next best of which was KState beating MSU. Good to see the Tennessee thugs lose to Florida Atlantic,

Two more upsets with #1 seeds Alabama and Houston going down. This will be the first time there are no #1s in the Elite 8.

The only thing I got right in my bracket was having all the 1s out before the Elite 8. Unfortunately, UConn is the only Final Four team I still have alive.
