These guys have all been such important pieces of our run...going to hate tracking them in another uniform, but on the bright side, this has to be Grandison's last year in college, so we need somebody to keep tabs on next year

Sad to see Ayir in the portal. Enjoyed watching him play over the years. Would have loved to see him stay for “one final ride” as a Crusader. I think he could have stretched the field next fall against BC’s secondary and caused lots of problems for the Beagles.
I wish him well and thank him for the memories.

Asante could definitely find success at a lower-level FBS program while pursuing a secondary degree. I actually did a double take a few weeks ago when I looked at the roster and noticed he was already a senior. Man, COVID really made his career go by fast. Especially since he was hurt for at least a few games during the shortened spring season.

4th year seniors leaving bothers me a bit with the culture we've built, but I am happy to see where Ayir goes. He has breakaway speed and is so agile. We'll miss him on those reverses and jet sweeps.ayne he'll pull an Ng. I hope Jake can wind up on a decent FBS squad and pursue a grad degree. Thanks to all of them for what they have done to build this program. I think of Liam Anderson playing against Monmouth his sophomore year and trying to slow down their prolific offense.
Can we pull a Fordham for 6th years in addition to the 5th year non-medical redshirt 😁

I thought Reichwein was a fifth year senior so I didn’t have him as someone eligible to return for us. Must have not played for us one season or not enough to count as a year of eligibility.

… and others on this list will not be able to come back even if they want to - coaches and players have to engage in honest conversations post season about their potential role in ‘23

Can someone please clarify...I've lost track over the last few seasons...a 4th year senior would (possibly) be graduating this year, and also have 2 years of eligibility, correct? And even if not graduating, still have 2 years?

Correct...any player whose career included the Covid spring and a potential redshirt could have 6 years to play 4. Walter Reynolds, Spencer Gilliam and Jake Reichwein are all examples of 6 years to play 4. Ayir is using Covid year as his other 3 years Freshman, Junior and Senior were all full years played meaning 5 games or more.

So...I think Asante could potentially play 2 years at another school. Could be a huge opportunity for him to both get a grad degree and work towards his goal of getting NFL looks.
Of course Dobbs could still decide to do the same as well.

Are all the transfers we have noted on track to graduate?

Of course Dobbs could still decide to do the same as well. Ayir should just have one year of eligibility left. Walter, Spencer and Jake all had a year that they played 4 games or less in the non-Covid year. Ayir played in at least 4 games in all the non-Covid years.

So if you were hurt in the COVID year (like Ayir was), you can't double dip on a medical redshirt and COVID year. Makes sense.

year or two too early for Pyne. I am pretty darn happy with our QB situation! Who do u think will fill in when sluka leaves? Mark Forcucci freshman from Chicago. I've heard nothing but rave reviews from coaches. The main reason why the lefty QB from PA who's a freshman as well is playing wide receiver now. I watched this kid out here in Chicago and he is the real deal. With him and Frattura coming in we are great shape QB wise.
