Half could not have started better or ended worse. We’re in it. Need to make some plays in the second half and win time of possession. Haven’t gotten Oliver going at all yet.

From the beginning of the week, we have been preaching a near-perfect game with no turnovers and gaining a couple from SDSU.
Speaks volumes to the quality of our program that we are not at our best but competing and completely in this game. Much better showing than Samford or W&M. Go Cross!! Lets get a TD and tie this up!!

I’ve seen these coaches do nothing but make great adjustments in the second half. Being down 7 with the ball to start the 3rd is a good sign. HCBC and the staff will tweak where needed.

Definitely speaks to how far the program has come, but it would be very disappointing to lose this game. We had a golden opportunity take a strangle hold on the game with a chance to go up two scores before the half + after halftime.
First 20 minutes of this game may have been the best stretch of HC sports since the first ~35-38 minutes of the HC-Marquette basketball game.

There are four ways we’ve had success moving the ball: 1) Sluka designed run, 2) Sluka improvising, 3) Sluka passing, 4) Gadget play
I’d love to get Oliver involved, but running in between the tackles isn’t in the cards today.
Allow Sluka to be the athlete he is. Moving him out of the pocket will continue to give the Bunnies problems.

I'd like to see more throws from Sluka on broken plays to open guys rather than automatically tucking it. Problem is Sluka is very inaccurate when his feet are moving. Can be a good thrower when feet are set. Not so much on the broken plays when he’s on the run. On those, just run. |

Why do we have zero screen plays? Especially vs an over aggressive front that has effectively taken away the inside the tackle run game. Mix in at least one to Purdy to keep the defense honest
