Excellent questions. I'll weigh in: Sader 1970 I said no right or wrong answer-- Honestly, I take positions on this board to create a discussion and some I believe make sense, others not so much. On this one I think if the PL makes the most sense for the school that is fine-- I would not be opposed to dropping some of our more local and regional games and replace them with two or three of the schools offered in option dealing with a football conference. And yes, we are moving in that direction in terms of the 2024 schedule If you weren't younger than me I'd swear you were my father reincarnated. He used to ask questions and often acted like he was for a position he was totally against in order to prod discussions, sometimes just for the sake of discussion but often just to get others to reinforce his position. He often took the role of devil's advocate, a term I probably heard from him when I was about 5 years old. But the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree as my Classmate and co-worker of almost 15 years used to say about our lunchtime group discussions that I was a "sh!t-stirrer." While he never said so, I am confident he learned and developed this trait at Holy Cross while I learned it from him. Sort of a version of Professor Kingsfield's Socratic Method of teaching. I salute you!

My teams in the corporate setting went crazy because i used my HC experiences to challenge them to think and think differently so they can answer the question before us
We so often solve a problem, pat ourselves on the back, and realize we created a bigger problem that might not have an easy solution
I truly was blessed by the demands of the faculty and better minds of my classmates during my years on the Hill

Getting back to Harvard at Polar Park and with a fair assumption of high demand for tickets (we don't have a biz school but) ticket prices should be increased for this one - no more $10-15 tics - minimum $20 and higher for the good locations - it will still sell out Question: Is there any chance the folks at Polar Park could squeeze a few thousand more folks into the stadium by setting up temporary bleachers behind where the teams are located on the sideline? I feel like in one of the earliest field maps for the first Polar Park game this was highlighted as a possibility. Perhaps Mr. Phreek can comment on whether this is feasible.

I think the temporary on-field supplemental bleachers blocked the view of some lower permanent grandstand seats.

Keep Harvard's allotment to a bare naked minimum!

What else you want me to say? The press box has no elevator, no bathroom, undersized, etc? It is a dump and subpar for a team that finished in the top ten in the nation. You should be embarrassed by it like all the UNH alums and students were for the old football facility. I still hear about it on the road consistently.

At least they can hold a lacrosse game in Feb. at home unlike Holy Cross moving home games to Bryant because they have a 80 yard football field?

Still trying to find the UNH men’s lax schedule…. Hope they will be on the HC schedule next year. 🙄
The Bryant facility has it’s own limitations regarding kicking and punting practice due to its height. We have discussed why the HC facility is only 100 yards end to end instead of 120, due to both cost and geological limitations with the location.
IIRC, the original proposal over 20 years ago, for an Indoor practice facility and athletic offices would have been in a location next to Fitton. The location was probably cancelled due to flood plain considerations. As with project plans, Time, Cost and Resources are the drivers to what is feasible. In retrospect, HC ended up with a better facility in the Luth Complex Village.
Very few schools, even in D1, have a complete set of world class facility venues, on their contiguous campus. The vast majority have facilities with limitations based on cost and interest.

BC is also losing its only noteworthy playmaker on offense - Zay Flowers - to the draft. He's a legit stud who could go in the first round. But after him? Their next leading receiver had only 388 yards last year. Also worth noting that their QB1 from last year transferred out, although he lost the job about 2/3 of the way through the season. And BC still has a vacant OC position to fill. This truly is a golden opportunity for the Sanders to establish themselves as the premier football program in New England.

The media can use the same bathrooms as the fans use. No fan should be embarrassed by the press box.

OK, you're relatively new here so you might not realize we keep politics off of Crossports and I'm not sure what Bernie Sanders has to do with the subject anyway.

What in tarnation is Wagner doing with 3 FBS games? I hope they will get a good pay day from each to help further fund the program and get them some help. Rutgers as a Big 10 team should give them a decent payout. They have 1 win the last 2 seasons.
