Our local alumni club sponsored a pre-game reception on Wednesday night before the Albany game. The club paid for the pizza, wings, etc and was planning on absorbing the $400 cost.
As he was leaving one of the basketball parents gave our treasure $120 to help defray the cost. Sadly we didn't get his name.
Thanks for your generosity, whomever you may be.

Just a guess, Wes and Judy Champion. Wes is pretty hard to miss. Distinguished gentlemen with close cropped silver (if he was older I would say "gray") hair and 6'5" +/-.
Since they go to every game home and away, likely him.

The Champions were at the game. The Huseks make most games, but absent from Albany

Wes Champion was a pretty fair shooter back in the 1980s at Charleston, where he scored 1,000+ points and made 57% of his threes.

Lou,
I wish you have come to our pre-game reception. I posted it on this board and would have enjoyed meeting you. I did meet the Champions at the game as there seats were in front of but in the floor. As we were directly behind the Cross bench they moved up and sat with me. Very gracious folks. As I indicated they made their donation to our treasurer, not me so I can't swear it was them.
