Obviously, Lewis leaving the team is yet another bad look for Nelson...but it's not the worst thing for the next coach next year, who will now have two additional scholarships at his disposal). 53 minutes played in Lewis' HC career against ten D1 opponents.
Also, who really knows whether both Rabinovich and Louth will be around next season.

Austin played 85 minutes in two years (includes D3 games) and scored 38 points, He shot .600 (6 for 10) on twos and .471 (8 for 17) on threes and got 21 rebounds. What a shame it is that he did not get the chance to prove himself, for good or bad, with more meaningful minutes. What a shame.

I noticed a couple of days ago that Austin Liked this Tweet. Thought it was unusual but certainly possible that he was quite sympathetic with it at the time, but if he is off the roster now it makes more sense.

It's Division 1 basketball. I want Nelson gone just as much as the next person. But cmon this isnt a shot at Lewis from me as, I don't know the situation at all. Across the board in all college sports it's a joke. Does this generation really think nobody ever sat on the bench in the 100 years of college sports history? Look at Bob Cousy barely played 1st year at HC wanted to transfer. He stuck it out. Do these players not realize so many other kids playing sports would give anything to be on a scholarship at these colleges still getting to play sports!?

Freshmen couldn’t play varsity sports when Cousy was in college.

I don't think it was meant to be a shot at Lewis. Guy posted it and then Lewis liked it.
I see that as Lewis endorsing what was said possibly representing his experience.

That being said, there was a game this season when he came in for garbage time and, ice cold after spending 35 minutes on the bench, nailed two 3's Fast forward to the closing minutes of Quinnipiac when they needed a 3, I would have thought about him there

Right you are. I thought freshmen couldn’t play until the early 70s. Freshman eligibility has changed a number of times over the years and has varied by sport with football and basketball being treated differently than other sports at times. My freshman year (71-72) was the last year that freshmen could not play varsity basketball and football. One article taks about freshmen being given special examptions to play varsity in 50-51 due to the Korean War, so I am guessing that the long-term freshman ban began shortly after Bob Cousy played as a freshman.

Ignoring Lewis and even Bucknell for a moment, I get the fact that the 12th man on every D-I team was a high school star and that is a tough transition, but that transition is part of growing up and preparing for the real world. If that leads to mental illness, then those kids have been let down along the line by never learning coping skills. Everybody faces adversity, you need to learn to cope
Only 2 people on the team are happy because only the stars wiggle with confidence. One of the wonderful things about athletics is that it teaches teamwork. I don't know who Christian Pop'oola is but there's something wrong there if you can't be happy unless you're the star. You're missing the whole point of team work. Ron Perry Sr was a scorer who put his ego aside for the better of the team. Was he not happy?
The '93 squad had 3 1000 point scorers and a sophomore who was a star (and would get his 1000th early junior year) Were Roger Breslin and John Young unhappy because they weren't top 2 players on that squad? I don't think so.
If only 2 kids on the HC squad are happy now, I wouldn't be surprised. Actually I would expect zero to be happy. Gates is putting up big numbers, but I guess he's cut his scoring average in half if it meant some more wins. Winning is fun. Losing is not. If you tell me no one is happy on a losing team, fine. If you tell me that 6 out of 8 guys getting playing time on a winning team aren't happy because they can't wiggle like stars, there is something very wrong with that scenario
----------------------------------
If Austin is liking tweets like that Chris Pop'oola guy's, I hope it is not a sign of him battling real mental illness

Not seeing Louth.
Bison have so much more size.
GG deserves some sort of medal/special award. So much expected of him at both ends of the floor.

Ron Perry Sr and Jr here. Must have needed to get out of the house (like me).

Is Rabinovich in the building? If you're shut down for the year, not unreasonable to think you go home for Christmas. I assume the team is in a hotel since there's no food on campus. Not paying to put Coulibaly or Rabs in a hotel. On the other hand, Rabs can pop up to Hart from home a lot easier than Coulibaly
