Hard to say, Allen continues to pick up bad fouls, that kept her off the floor today. Also, Samson at 6'4" had her way with her at the beginning of game. If Navy can keep all their Frosh, they will be very good a year or 2 down the road. HC is a very challenged offensive team. Their defense is outstanding, but I don't think they are going to be able to get away with such poor shooting against BosU, Lehigh or AU.

They have struggled offensively. McCormack in particular has been shooting below her averages from the past season in both fg% and 3fg%, however she's also only played 6 games as well as recently getting the start. Which to me means it might take a few games for her to get settled considering fewer preseason minutes.

Why don't you guys comment on the change in the starting lineup with the start of league play ? Isn't it obvious to you that the coaching staff wants to see us operate with one (not both) of the centers on the floor at the same time - Sure they might revert back but right now McCormack has replaced Berger in the starting lineup. I find the decision very interesting

HC really hasn't played that well using a double post in part the last 2 seasons, partly because neither Berger, Allen or last season, Ezemma play the 4 very well. I'd probably be more surprised if I could figure out MM's in game substitution pattern. It clearly doesn't seem to bother Berger very much. I wish we had a different box score format as I'd love to see how long the small line up actually played together. It seems to me they've played some of their best ball when Donnelly is on the floor with either Allen or Berger.

I find the decision very interesting The team's best defensive line-up is with 4 guards on the floor. It's the line-up MM prefers. The only time it could be an issue is against Boston's two starting bigs. But then again, one of those bigs will have to defend a guard, so who's to say how that plays out. Lucky for us, we get to see it twice before coming up with our best approach in the playoffs.

BU played a bit stronger OOC schedule. We both lost to BC by ten but HC-BC was a low scoring game and BU-BC was a high scoring game. NU beat BU by one while HC beat NU by five. It should be a quality 2-3 game series as envisioned when FADNP introduced the ill-fated Turnpike Trophy.
