Then the play by play missed Kenney subbing for Octave briefly on a defensive possession in the last minute. The stat person missed at least two HC turnovers.

Nice win.
I too have doubts about whether this will be sustainable, but nevertheless I am enjoying watching this team right now; I could not have envisioned anything like this 3 weeks ago. Not giving the coaching a single thought at this time; just trying to live in the moment. It's good to see the smiles on the players' faces; I hope they can keep it going at least until the students get back - maybe a few will show up at some games and get interested.
I thought Loyola did as good a job as anyone in using their height advantage (certainly with offensive rebounding). Towards the endgame I wondered if CBN was going to send in a Kirkwood or Wilbar to play Hack-A-Dike, but thankfully it did not come down to that.
Tse seems to be taking better care of the ball lately; that's good. I agree with others about the pull-up game for Bo. Batch is looking a little more to go towards the basket; he has that pull up ability as well. Octave seems to be the craftiest near the hoop.
Healthwise, I'm now starting to worry a little about Dorsey. The kid is giving up his body like nobody's business; I hope he stays in one piece.
Big week coming up with them before Colgate next Wednesday (by the way, that is going to be Dental Appreciation Night - they will be giving out free Crest products to fans. At least that is what the PA guy said!).

More specifically, Dave, dental floss if I heard correctly. I said to my son, "oh, that'll pack 'em in!"

In this 4-game PL sample size, we're finally seeing somewhat of a team identity: scrappy, hard-nosed, defense-oriented. To me, this is the clearest sense of any kind of discernable team identity in the BN era.
They're not world-beaters by any stretch. But might be good enough to make the PL semis should things break right, which is a far cry from what most of us expected even 3 weeks ago. Key to that will be maintaining health with such a thin bench and adjusting to other teams' adjustments in the back half of the league schedule.

Can I assume that Dental Appreciation Night was intentionally done for the Colgate game? It's actually kind of funny.

That might be taunting. They say they're handing out something from Crest

Maybe it is a sign that a squad who went 1-10 in D1 out of conference play has a dreadful conference?

Thanks for your usual insight, but the conference has some pretty good wins American beat Georgetown (a bad BE record, but a good PL win) and George Washington Navy beat Princeton Colgate beat Syracuse

Maybe it is a sign that a squad who went 1-10 in D1 out of conference play has a dreadful conference? Not a totally unreasonable conclusion. From RPI, the Patriot League is ranked 28th out of 32. That is part of the story. However, HC's defense is also better in these last few weeks. In general the guys are making their rotations way better than they were in November. The team is tipping a lot more balls. Some of that is a function of poorer passing in a low conference. If nothing was different, one should have expected "near" deflections in November. That's not my memory. I'm not booking anything for Dayton yet, but the wins showing up are not merely a function of lesser competition
