(I like the 60 minute difference in start times.)
Massey has HC as a 7 point favorite (59-52) with a 69% chance for the win. HC = 11-3 Loyola = 7-7

Chris Lovisolo's sister is on the roster, freshman; hasn't seen game action yet (injured?).

Assumed it was her husband but according to the alumni directory, Liz O'Connor is married to April Rancier. So, my guess is wrong. Silly me. It was probably Joe Biden! [Dean: That's a joke. Not being "political']

So alumnus is the correct description when referring to a single graduate of either gender? Women only get their own term if in a group? Doesn't seem fair.

Alumna is the correct term for one female graduate.
Alumnae for more than one famale graduate.
Alumnus for one male graduate
Alumni for more than one male graduate.
Alumni for a mix of male & female graduates.

It sounds like you did not take Latin. 8485 has it correctly. Mr. Mackey, my high school Latin teacher would be proud of him. As would my late father who knew Latin, Greek and Spanish from his Holy Cross days. And as I digress, my father had the ability to determine the basic meaning of almost all words he never heard or saw before because so many English words have roots origins from Latin or Greek.

Just one mandatory year of Latin as a Freshman in HS. "All of Gaul is divided into three parts" pops into my head from that class but not the Latin words for it. I was aware of alumna now that it's pointed out. I started in the science track in HS so I had German as my foriegn language after taking French in Jr. HS (Remember little of either.) My mother had science text books from Emmanuel (class of '39) that were in German and I guess that was still the idea that German was the leading language of science, but I haven't heard that concept in decades.

Really taking this down a new path (which I know drives at least 2 Crossporters crazy), my '42 father told us many times of an old Jesuit history professor he had that told his class: "Gentlemen, as you close your eyes in death and take your last breath, always remember '476 A.D., the fall of the Roman Empire.'"
I suspect my father, in fact, remembered that. I also suspect that I will too even as I only heard that second hand.

Gallia est divisa in omnes tres partes. Did well in Latin because it wasn't conversational. Anything where I had to listen I was screwed.

Never took a day of formal Latin class in my life but when you have a father who was an HC alumnus and a mother who was a Fordham alumna (who transferred from but maintained a connection to Trinity College in Washington DCC, the first all women’s Catholic liberal arts college in the US) you take some ad hoc Classics classes by default. 😄

Berger is the answer to Therrien...I hope. Lexy was getting the roll and having her way with HC's sub six foot starting lineup. Still having it but hope we can slow her down with Berger and Donnelly.
Berger 4-4 from the line is the difference so far, HC 16-15 after one.
