Hope everyone in HCBNs family are well and whatever the issue it resolves quickly Reiterate this sentiment. It’s been a tough season but hope BN and family are doing okay and whatever caused him to miss today is not anything serious. There are more important things than basketball.

Back from Easton. Yes no Wilbar on the bench or Louth. Dorsey was using a vibration device on his shoulder before the game started. Rabs in sweats cheering on his teammates. Credit to the team from bouncing back from the first half deficit and actually building a 4 point lead. Offense fell apart after that with offensive fouls, collapsing defense on Gates and dreadful shooting from outside. Good shooters on Lafayette and their 7' center helped clog up the middle. Decent turnout of about 50 HC fans. Students still on break so a rather quiet Kirby center. Best thing about the trip--I now qualify for sr. citizen pricing and was able to purchase a ticket for $7 at the box office. Early before the Loyola game I spotted the trainer working on him in the corner of the gym. My view was partially blocked, but ND had his shirt off. He's not exactly Charles Atlas, so it's not shocking that's he's banged up.

We will not be able to recruit players like Perry, Vicens & Potter as long as we stay in this Patriot League. The program is at all-time low. Which league would be your first choice for us to move to? Vicens, or a 2022 version of same; is actually the kind of guy HC could get. Not too many Boston area hoop junkies had him going anywhere special at the time; don't think he had much in terms of offers. Potter and Perry were prized recruits, especially Perry; and if he wasn't Ron the elder's son, he probably doesn't wear purple.

Can you name a Boston Marathon champion who was referred to as the "elder?"

John Kelly-- won as a young man and continued to run the marathon well into old age A park in my current place of residence, Dennis, MA; is named after Johnny The Elder. FYI, not to nit pick, but it's Kelley.

Really missed Dorsey today..Everybody has to be healthy fo this group to find success..(and they have to hit open shots!) Dorsey can(usually) pass well and defend. He has not shown that he can score, especially when.he is missing his threes. He likely would have made very little difference today. I believe he is the heart of the team. His Defensive intensity sets the focus for the team.. He provides, IMHO, a lot more than numbers, he provides on court leadership.

I was about to post something similar. They need him back. All of the core 6 guys need to be healthy, but I think Dorsey really hurts

Can’t believe I got that wrong as I am an “ey”…,, Both Johnny the elder and Johnny the Younger were "ey." Johnny the elder won the Marathon in 1935 and 1945. Johnny the Younger won in 1957 and coached Amby Burfoot in high school who won in 1968 while a student at Weslyean. Burfoot was the college roommate of Bill Rodgers who went on to win the Boston Marathon four times.
