I get ESPN plus for the couple of months of basketball season and then cancel. During that time I sometimes catch up on 30 for 30. Not all topics are interesting to me, but they always seem really well done and I enjoy them.. Anyhow, the other day I stumbled on a short "Deerfoot of the Diamond" about an inaugural member of the HC HoF. Holy Cross is only briefly mentioned, but still well done and worth watching. Half is about Sockalexis himself, the other half is about re-branding the Cleveland baseball team

Tom, Thanks for that tip. I enjoy 30 for 30 but was not aware of that one.

Did anyone read the book the Mosquito Bowl?
The Mosquito Bowl: A Game of Life and Death in World War II
Mentions a Holy Cross player with the last name Quinn. Tried to research but could not find anything.
A few from that era. Bill Swiacki and George Connor started at Holy Cross and finished careers elsewhere after the war at Columbia and Notre Dame.

While we're on the theme of Holy Cross sport getting "mentioned" on 30 for 30 episodes, I'll toss out another cameo:
On vacation in Bradenton Beach, FL, and my daughter was feeling under the weather today so I stayed in with her so my wife could get some time to herself and enjoy the sun. While she napped and relaxed, I watched the "Girlfriend that Didn't Exist" series about Manti Te'o. When they show the ESPN coverage of the Heisman ceremony, the Holy Cross-Dartmouth basketball score flashes across the bottom line. HC winning a road non-conference DI Men's Basketball game may have been the most shocking thing I saw during the 2-episode series.
