I expect HC to win easily, but do note that Army is playing very well at the moment, riding a 3 game win streak with wins over Bucknell, Navy & American. Hopefully, HC doesn't come out too ramped up, need to control their emotions early, if the past is any judge, will be a physical game.

It's a key bounce back game, but win, lose or draw, this is a HUGE day for Women's basketball. No matter what, tomorrow will be great. (hoping for a win too though)

Will Allen be returning to the court for the occasion?

It should be a great day on campus for any recruits that might be there for the game-- official or unofficial visits

The whole Bill Gibbons saga is very sad - really a shame some sort of resolution has still not been reached and I assume he will not be in attendance on Saturday to honor his players. Just an unimaginable conclusion to a 600+ win career - I never would have thought something like this to ever occur at HC

I wish that could be put aside to allow BG to attend as his athletes are honored.

Does anyone know if the school sent him an invitation that was declined (or accepted) ? - I'm guilty of making the assumption I wont be there

My totally unfounded speculation
- the only thing preventing Coach Gibbons from attending would be advise from his lawyer because litigation is pending - Even in that case, Coach Gibbons could ignore his lawyer and buy a ticket just like you and me - A better scenario than sitting in the stands like you and me would be to have him on the court for ceremony. My guess is that this is not probable - and getting even less founded in actual fact speculation, Coach Gibbons will be having dinner somewhere in Worcester with the honorees. His players meant too much to him to ignore this

I'm sure people like spouses, kids, and parents will be there. Darned good chance some, if not all of the honorees gave their old coach a call to invite him

Really is a unfortunate situation that didn't need to happen. The way the school handled this is beyond unprofessional. To treat a long time loyal employee like they did was crimminal. It's fine not to renew his contract but there is a certain way to do it. My hope would be the new AD reached out to him about being a part of this day. I can't imagine his former players would be too happy if he wasn't involved.

Why make this about Gibbons? We're raising the jerseys of five legends of HC basketball. It's their day, pretty sure nothing can spoil it for them

I hope the legends that are celebrated/their families have an amazing experience being honored and that the current players on the team see what is both possible for them and who paved the way.
As far as BG goes, like it (him) or not, he's a piece to the puzzle in their success. Personally, I hope he does meet the honorees for dinner or drinks or something and has that moment to share with them.
Totally agree that his attorney would suggest he not attend, even if invited. The lawsuit is 3.5 years(?) or so down the road so the conclusion can't be too far off. Perhaps fences may be mended to some degree following a settlement or however it plays out.
But, again, congrats to these honorees, it's about time.

I can't imagine his former players would be too happy if he wasn't involved. I don't know enough of the facts to conclude that HC treated BG badly. The last time I checked the court docket HC's attorney had filed a motion alleging that BG's attorney had altered evidence, and was looking for sanctions. The case seems far from a conclusion, but cases settle all the time so who knows.

Well, having read all of these opinions, I'm personally hoping BG is there and that he is introduced to the crowd - absolutely nothing legal compromised if he attends

The team has put a lot of wins in the bank which will soften the tragedy, but today's players must be determined to play well in front of all the past Crusader champions in the stands.

9-0 run before that last Army score. They have a tough time when Hunter is on the bench
