Massey has HC as an 11 point favorite (63-52) over Navy (1-20) with an 81% chance for the win.
Anyone remember why the BU games got shifted around for the women and not the men (who play BU this Wednesday) ? It may have been discussed when schedules were released, but I don't recall.

No, but the M&W schedules don't have to always be mirror images with the four weekly BB games at each PL school restricted to two weekly time slots: Wednesday at 7 and Saturday at 1 so each school's small group of core fans who are willing to watch four games live per week can only watch two.

The women always have a Wednesday night off at mid season, and then play an extra game at the end of the year. They have the calendar space to do this because the PL women’s tournament is not locked into certain times due to TV scheduling. HC schedule always had this Wednesday as an off day for them.

Has the concept of Tues.-Sat. for one gender and Wed.-Sun. for the other been discussed? The current arrangement cannibalizes the fans who are willing to watch all four of their school's games in a week either live or streaming for home games and generally streaming for away games because the league set up the schedule to have the genders compete against each other.

I was at a MAAC game yesterday and the Women play Thursday/Saturday and the Men play Friday/Sunday. It is tough on the athletic departments to do that. HC staff also has hockey going on at the same time period.

I just wish the great minds that work at these fine institutions could figure out a way to have 2 or 3 or even 4 women's/men's doubleheaders.

I meant the PL, dude. BU/HC, for example; with no travel to speak of between the two schools, playing both games at one place the first round and the other place the next round seems doable. Especially if both rounds are on a Saturday, the start times and ample time between games should be a non-factor.

Looking to get back on track with a great win at the Naval Academy. I am sure this week is a balance of work and rest to ensure we are ready for the trip.

Looking forward to the 12:30 game for the women and then watching the men at 2:00. That way I can still make Mass at 5:00. A full and, I hope, enjoyable afternoon.

I like the ESPN+ feature where you can select the game and choose "start from beginning" rather than miss part of the game and join in progress: or have to wait for the game to end and choose it on replay. So, you can watch the ladies until about 2:15 then start the men's game from the beginning. However, that assumes that the damn game is being recorded (Army men's game wasn't until the second half

Good point! The first half against Army was. to say the least, a let down.

Even back in the day when they did play doubleheaders, the took 2 buses The Red Sox took 25 cabs from the hotel to the ballpark. I suppose each HC team wants to be able to use the bus time for preparation and not be distracted.

I suppose each HC team wants to be able to use the bus time for preparation and not be distracted. Also you can't fit both teams and staff onto one bus. Additionally since there would be three hours difference in start times, that would mean each team sitting around doing nothing for 3+ hours.

Except cheering for their schoolmates. But I see your point.
