One Man’s Opinion…🤔 Proctor and Kostecka could have prevented the basketball doldrums from the last seven years. In retrospect, coaching change torpedoed what could have been an exciting backcourt. ☹️

Kostecka would have been a real difference maker and it would have been a real plus to not to have to play against him 2 or 3 times a year

Next thing you'll be saying that HC to Eastern Michigan to Lansing CC to Cleveland St is wandering from team to team. (although with a year of eligibility left, that story might not be complete)

I am still shaking my head regarding that erroneous decision, especially considering the miscreants he recruited.

From a very reliable source, Carmody refused to return the phone calls from both son and father. Andrew really wanted to attend HC. Carmody refused to return several calls to the office.

Back to topic, I am looking forward to seeing Kahlil in Purple. Welcome to Mt. St. James!
Kahlil and I have something in common already….I have family that lives in Vancouver, Washington.

The Source, who has been involved with HC Basketball for multiple decades, had a conversation with Andrew’s father. He was bewildered why Carmody would not return his calls. So I have no reason to provide. Which makes it even more puzzling.
Ever time we played Loyola, he would torch us in revenge.

By my math, this brings the scholarship count to 11 for next year with two available. Perhaps a really smart, very mobile, 6'11" wide body is out there looking for a good education At this point I'll gladly take anyone legitimately taller than 6-6 that is athletic (can guard in the present defense being played) and can play. Does Jehyve Floyd have any other younger brothers? Welcome Khalid! His other offers were rather old....a little curious about that.

I think I am going to request permission from the board to refer to him as KSing, as I am certain to make the same mistake again otherwise.

Ever time we played Loyola, he would torch us in revenge. With HC having a 13-10 record against Loyola, MD, how often was HC "torched" by him and when?

Kostecka played 8 games vs HC and Loyola won four of those games. Kostecka scored 156 points in those games. He scored 55 points in both his two junior year and 2 senior year games

So HC split the eight games evenly. If correct, that means until his junior year he had not been on a Loyola team that beat HC. In his last two years they got to even for his tenure. Not a very hot "torch."

NERR has posted an article on Singleton committing to HC. It confirms he played one year at Loomis-Chafee before transferring to Scotland Campus.

I agree with Crucis. I watched those games and he was a severe pain in our side.

Here are Kostecka’s stats from his Junior and Senior year against HC. I am having a problem with the pdf’s from his sophomore and freshman years in rendering. I ‘ll take a look on another platform to see the individual breakdown. IIRC correctly he also had some injuries during his first two years. However going off for 37 points, 29 points and 26 points I would say is a good evening against a coach that did not have the courtesy to return your calls after he had received an offer and verbally committed under the previous coach with pictures under the HC sign on Linden Lane.
January 02, 2020, 37 points on 15-21 FG, 3-5 3PT, 4-7 FT, 3STL. February 05, 2020, 18 points on 7-11 FG, 0-2 3PT, 4-4 FT, 4STL. January 03, 2019, 29 points on 8-14 FG, 4-8 3PT, 9-9 FT, 2 STL, 2 BL January 19, 2019, 26 points on 12-21 FG, 2-4 3PT, 0-0 FT, 4 STL, 1 BL
Last two years he seemed to be smoking hot against us…..🤬. Do I hear the song Disco Inferno especially his senior year when he hit on 37 points in the first game in Baltimore. Pridgen had 26 points and Louder had 17. Our record was 1-13 at that point, Loyola was 9-5.
Oh well water under the bridge…

Saying Kostecka did anything else than torch us as a junior and senior would be an outright lie.
