My father's first day in boot camp in WW2, the drill sergeant lined everyone up and asked if anyone had worked in a bank.
One guy eagerly raised his hand and said he had.
"Good" said the sergeant, "Go clean the latrines. Let that be a lesson for you other guys, never volunteer."
