Massey makes HC a 6 point favorite (68-62) against Lafayette with a 66% chance for the win
The laides defeated Lafayette at home earlier (66-50).

Am I clear that despite an 8-3 OOC record against modest competition, the recent two game losing streak effectively eliminates any chance of an at large bid to the NCAA tournament even if we win out, finish the regular season at 24-5/16-2 and then lose in the semis or final of the PLT?
If I understand correctly, if a conference regular season champ also wins the league tournament and the auto bid to the NCAA tournament, there is no league auto bid to the NIT/WNIT? If so, if HC doesn't earn either an NCAA or WNIT auto bid, I hope they would be a candidate for a WNIT at large invite.

Extremely limited (hate to say zero%) chance the patriot league gets an at-large.....ever. WNIT extends offer to the second place finisher. |

Up 32-23at the half - uninspired play by HC - BPC has been the only reliable scorer - Laf is not a good team even at full strength

Lafayette (and maybe the officials helping them a bit) playing it smart in so far as they've committed one foul in 20 minutes.
I think LC took 2 foul shots, HC none.
No question the bus be back in the Woo no later than 1AM.

Part of me says to pick up the tempo because LC won't last very long if you do.
But milking the shot clock's not bad either against this passive zone. The problem is they can't knock down any shots.

This performance has been lackluster. At this point in the season, our effort and play shouldn't ebb and flow with the strength of the competition. We just need to do what we do.
