This a good move by the Celtics. It gives them big guy depth. From Muscala's standpoint he's going to a great team but his playing time might decrease.

Impressive that he's still in the league 10th season. Last year he hit about 43% on threes, good for fifth in the league. This year he has been hampered by a couple of injuries but has been playing well lately. Has gone 13–24 on threes in his last five games, raising his pct from beyond the arc to about 39%.

Apart from the star players, anyone who carves out a lengthy career in the NBA is to be admired. It requires (obviously) some useful hoop skills, but also takes hard work, perseverance, patience, and a great attitude. Yes, the pay is great but many great talents have failed to make it in the NBA for a variety of reasons.

I hope he becomes the 2nd Patriot Leaguer to get an NBA title

The modern NBA is an interesting place. He’s 6-10 and took 8 shots—all from 3.

Because I just looked it up, Verbeek averaged 4.7 minutes in 18 games played for Grand Valley State last season. Took a total of 17 2s, 13 3s and 4 FTs. Shot almost the exact same percentage (53%) from 2 and 3.

I think Batchelder might one day threaten Lebrons scoring record.

18 pts tonight Plus the first tech in his career He went a career-high 44 minutes, with the Celts missing all five of their starters at Milwaukee. Also had 8 boards and surprisingly won the tip in OT against Giannis. Looked like a very soft technical, called from a long distance away. Very unlikely any regular would get t'd up for the same thing.

Chose #57 in memory of his mom- not sure if that was her birth year or age. First Celtic to wear that linebacker-esque number.

Chose #57 in memory of his mom- not sure if that was her birth year or age. First Celtic to wear that linebacker-esque number. That was her birth year. She passed away in September. Throughout his career, Mike has always worn 31 or 33, but of course those are among the many Boston numbers that are retired.
