I feel I am as patient as just about anyone, but even putting aside the classless stuff, let's face it - in order to keep things from sinking even lower (never mind getting better), they will need immediate impact newcomers not just for next year, but for 2024-25 as well. And how likely is that to happen if CBN is retained. He did indeed get the gig during a challenging period, but in the end something did not work. Yes, players leave more than ever before, but no other PL school has had the constant exodus of players that HC has experienced; not even Nathan Davis has had that happen. At the end of the day the buck stops in the head coach's office. I think about GG and Batch yesterday (and how they were coached), and it's unbelievable to me: if those guys had quit instead of Lewis and Wilbar, CBN might very well have piloted the team to the first 0-18 season in PL history. Root for the playersTuesday - winning the game won't play into any decisions made after the season ends. Keeping him, assuming it's a 5 year contract; would necessitate a one or two year extension. They'd just be kicking the can down the road. Pay him off now or pay him off later. I vote for now..

This long hideous nightmare should be over soon It has been going on since RW left and regardless of what happens after this season ends, there is nothing to say it won’t continue next season. Oldtimers who are fans of other once rivals in New England have gone from laughing at us to 6-7 years of respecting us to now feeling bad for us for a long time.

And, Dave, I’m still not over Nelson not finding 30 seconds to get DJ Hart into the game on senior day last year.
That was gutless.
What a terrible era this has been for HC men’s basketball.

Gerrale 26 pts, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks 40, FORTY minutes. Nelson gave him no rest. What a disgrace. Not even to get an ovation on Senior Day? Is there anything BN does right?Of course there is.
Now let me think.....
I know I'll come up with something.
Still thinking..........

Will Batchelder played 22 minutes. Jade Tse played 18 minutes, including most of the way down the stretch, Batch on the bench, as we fell further behind.
Translation - "You can't fire me. I quit."
Nelson not taking Gerrale out of the game and depriving our best player - and the fans - of the benefit of a standing ovation is the single worst thing he's done in his disastrous regime. Is it the single most grievous thing he's ever done? Could be. But that is a long list.
What it shows is how totally out of touch he is with the Holy Cross community and what the "right thing to do" is.
As a Christian, I wish him the best in his future endeavors but will gladly give Kit my cell phone if he needs some help in emptying out Nelson's office next week.

I’m all for piling on Nelson but is it possible Gates told him he didn’t want to be taken out and wanted to finish his last home game on the floor?

Yes, that is certainly a possibility.

I’m all for piling on Nelson but is it possible Gates told him he didn’t want to be taken out and wanted to finish his last home game on the floor? I’d say that would be a low probability possibility. I’m pretty sure every other person at the game wanted and expected the chance to show Gerrale how much he’s appreciated.
