I know tributes have already been made on the game thread, but I thought we should continue the tradition of a thank you thread for the seniors; in this case, senior. I don't care what anyone says, as far as I'm concerned he is one of the 5 best players in the PL, and filling his shoes won't be easy to say the least. Wish he could have been on a better team; just loved his old school approach to the game. Thank you G!

As Bob Gamere used to say of Keith Hochstein, he was a bull in a China shop. I really enjoyed watching GG the last 3 years.

best wishes to gerrale. a talented player and one of the most physical players in recent hc history who got the most out of his body.

Love Gerrale and glad he chose HC. Good role model for the kids in how to work hard and persevere no matter how challenging the circumstances in which you find yourself. Hope he has a great pro career overseas if that’s what he chooses to do.

One of our best inbound transfers in program history? Best of luck in whatever's next, Gerrale. Thanks for leaving it all on the floor.

One of our best inbound transfers in program history? Best of luck in whatever's next, Gerrale. Thanks for leaving it all on the floor. This is an interesting question. Thinking only about the players when I was on campus, he was a much more important piece than Jim Runcie (Virginia) or Champ Godbolt (Maine). Eddie Thurman (Wake Forest) and Jim McCaffrey (St. Mike's) were different types of players. Thurman played alongside of a lot of talent but McCaffrey had to carry the team like Gerrale.

McCaffrey was probably the best transfer, with GG and Josh Sankes after him, in that order. Unless I am forgetting someone.

I'd put Jim M and GG in one group; Thurman, Sankes and Joe Carballeira* in a second group. Runcie and Godbolt had issues, not the same issues; but issues. Certainly on a high level talent-wise, but as contributors, open to debate.
*a big part of the 74-75 team that came out of nowhere to fall a game short of the NCAAs; Vicens and Potter's rookie season.
