no, it doesn't at all sound like this. nobody in their right mind would read this as missing a breakaway wide open layup, since that hardly ever happens even in high school.
what lou is observing is that we have missed many layups over the past few games that we should make as division 1 basketball players.
There is a big difference between the layups we have been allowing at the other end of the last five minutes and the looks we have been getting.
There has been a theme developing that the missed layups is our biggest issue, which is silly.
is there anyone who here thinks that missing layups is our "biggest issue"?
i don't and i haven't seen anyone else here suggest that is our biggest problem, either.
poor shooting overall, inconsistent/relatively disappointing poor play so far from our seniors, strange lineup/personnel choices from carmody, and defensive inconsistency would be our biggest issues so far in my view.

I think the defense is playing pretty well, following the ball movement and contesting URI player with the ball. _______________ Want to increase attendance at the Hart? Do as URI does, advertise beer and pizza at the concession stand!
And shocking for a guy "lacking in basketball skill"
SC State thread:
and while i like floyd as a nice change of pace, if you think a 6'7 player who is athletic but lacking in basketball skill brings more potential to our team than a player who is 6'11 and can shoot and pass the ball, that tells us all we need to know about your lack of any grasp of what attributes lead to success in carmody's system.
