He kept us in this game when it could have gotten ugly.
interesting interpretation. the 14-0 uri run began when thompson was substituted for husek and occurred entirely while he was on the floor.
i'm not saying that we fell into such a hole because of thompson, this occurred because uri is a better team.
but again, how thompson "kept us in the game" as we surrendered our lead and created a huge deficit with minimal contribution (2 pts, 1 assist, 1 turnover) while he was out there is yet another head scratcher.
if anyone, i would argue floyd or malachi kept us in the game.
And shocking for a guy "lacking in basketball skill"
SC State thread:
and while i like floyd as a nice change of pace, if you think a 6'7 player who is athletic but lacking in basketball skill brings more potential to our team than a player who is 6'11 and can shoot and pass the ball, that tells us all we need to know about your lack of any grasp of what attributes lead to success in carmody's system.
shall i quote your brilliance on husek - who has had a very nice season - from the same thread?
floyd is not a terribly skilled player at this juncture, but his raw athleticism makes him a nice change of pace (you selectively forgot that quote from me) that has been very effective for us at times... including today. which is great to see and why i would like to see him get more minutes. as consistently indicated in my posts.
your little hard on with my posts is entertaining, if nothing else! it's been fun consistently putting you in your place. and that place is clear... someone who won't give carmody credit and likes taking the contrarian stance on essentially everything. from coaches, to players, to the ad, to other posters.
enjoy the game, amigo!
