That might be true of Harvard (last played in 2014, life time record HC 8/7), but don't see it with Yale (last played in 2016, life time record HC 7-3). More likely was an effort by the Ivies to upgrade their OOC. Surprisingly enough, never played Penn, Cornell or Princeton, only game with Columbia was the WNIT game. PLayed Dartmouth the most times (16) with a losing record of 6-10.

As both of those fine institutions have new or relatively new head coaches, now would be the time to reach out for a game or two. Wonder if UNH played either one during Magarity's tenure there. Would almost have had to as there aren't too many opponents within driving distance. In 2016-17 UNH played Yale in December and Harvard in the WNIT.

Here's what I got so far: @ BC Nov 6 @ Villanova Nov 21 @ Stonehill Nov 29 @ Quinnipiac Dec 10Northeastern @ HC Dec 17 Merrimack @ HC Dec 20 The Q back on the schedule, been a few years. Notable, not playing Harvard, Yale , Columbia or Penn. Columbia's OOC schedule is quite daunting. I don't see them playing anyone near PL level this year. They are even hosting three Big East and Duke squads this year.

They are going to URI though this year and went to UConn last year. But again, they don't play low level PL squads.

I guess, but not sure that explains them playing Le Moyne, first year in D1 or Columbia playing Wagner.

At one time when Gibbons had HC rolling I thought we could handle an OOC schedule like Columbia has - but we all know that momentum was lost (can Magarity bring it back?)

Be interesting to see if Columbia can handle it.

They threw caution to the wind for a strong schedule. Nothing wrong with that.

Be interesting to see if Columbia can handle it. Loss a ton of talent but still have a strong shooting guard and an excellent head coach who has turned that program around

Odd that they didn't post the entire schedule, wondering if the are trying to get a game in NYC or sourthern NJ for the 5 NY/NJ kids. Also note the Wright has been reclassified on the roster as a senior, previously listed as a junior.

Northeastern OOC slate includes BC, Syracuse, UMass, Columbia and BU and no D-2/3 teams. Impressive Well Northeastern is a better opponent for those schools over HC. The CAA champion (seventh placed team) was a 16 seed and Holy Cross (second placed PL team) was a 15.

To whatever extent Coach Magarity is responsible for the schedule she is knitting together an effective schedule as she is knitting together a good roster. It's working. Loading up a Murderer's Row of opponents is not always the best preparation.
