Down 21 toward the end of the third quarter the G-men came all the way back to win, 31-28 The biggest Giant comeback in many, many years. 1949, to be exact.

If there's one thing Crossports does not need it's a Giants thread.

You do recall HC alum and former offensive coordinator is now on the Giants staff, right? ✝️💜👍

If there's one thing Crossports does not need it's a Giants thread. Before Boston had a pro team the Giants were the region's team when their home games were TV blacked out in the NY metro area, I had been to Yankee Stadium to see playoffs games vs Colts & Packers. Never a saw televised home game until I arrived at HC in 1963. There was a single TV room in each of the Easy St dorms that had limited space for freshmen from other dorms. The other place to watch the Giants was the Black Orchid on Shrewsbury St. To comply with the 'blue laws' it served 24 hamburgers at half time. Orders for the burgers were taken just before the opening kick off .

I remember Soph year where we had a tv in the basements of Carlin and Alumni (1 in each dorm).
PS: Nice comeback by the G-men!

Yup...about as simple a setup as one could imagine. It got the job done!

I think it's great that an epic 4th quarter comeback finally went in Big Blue's favor. More often than not, they tend to be the victim of such.

If there's one thing Crossports does not need it's a Giants thread. If there's one thing that the Holy Cross old guard needs to understand, it's that there is a whole world outside of Boston, Providence, or any other place on earth that pronounces automobile as "CAHHH."

I'm not even a Giants fan (thank God). Just a proud New YAWKAH.

Second egg they've laid on a national broadcast; and next game is on MNF.

Misery loves company. Both the Giants and the Patriots are awful, at least on the offensive side of the ball.
And at least for this week's games, Zach Wilson showed some promise.

Thought this thread could be repurposed to describe what Stanford did last night. Honest showing of hands: who stayed up to watch the second half given Colorado up 29 - 0? Great example of the need to play the full sixty minutes.

I was watching the entire game and enthusiastically rooted for the Cardinal victory. The game definitely showed why you have to play for the full sixty. What a catch by Ayomanor!

The Pac 12 is providing a LOT of great football moments this year, and is probably the most talented league of the major conferences this year. All the more sad to see it's demise on the altar of mammon..

In one of the ugliest games I have seen, the Giants finally scored a TD when third string QB, Tommy DeVito, from nearby Don Bosco,HS, just ran it in after a fine fake to Barkley.

One of the all-time epic fails - the missed short FG and the Thibideaux penalty which stopped the clock when the Jets did not have any timeouts left

Make either of the 2 missed FGs and the Giants get a much needed win. It seems this is not a year to be an NFL-QB in NYC.

One of the all-time epic fails - the missed short FG and the Thibideaux penalty which stopped the clock when the Jets did not have any timeouts left The biggest fail was the Giants opting to kick the FG instead of going for it on 4th and 1. 1st down ends the game there.
