No change in the forecast. Saturday is a washout, inch of rain. Chance of showers on Sunday and Monday still 40 percent and 30 percent respectively.
Navy's field is field turf.
And graduation week at USNA starts Sunday (ends Friday).

Would the weather potentially impact when we pitch King?

Rain has started. There may be a break later today so maybe they might try for a late start. Rain chances tomorrow up to 60 percent, but rain is more likely later in the day. Monday's rain chances also increased.
If the series were to go three games, hard to see how they could get all three games in before Tuesday.

The game is on rain delay. First pitch now scheduled for 2:45. Weather service says rain will stop from 3:00 until about 6:00. Crossed fingers anyone?

Sadly, the some of the worst weather for the playoffs. If the games cannot be played today (or even tomorrow), what happens next? Is there a cutoff by which we need to declare a champion? Might Navy be the pick because they won the regular season title?

Neither day sounds like a real washout. Turf field helps. We'll have a champ declared on the field. Hopefully it's us.

It will be hard for King to beat Gillingham twice in one season. we had two hits and 12 batters up,in the first three innings.

And yet again in the next inning we open with a single and then sacrifice bunt. It is infuriating

Leadoff single and sac bunt (again). Sorry KY. Will it work for HC this time? Walk give HC Men at 1st and 2nd. Gillingham now has thrown 112 pitches so far.

Question: I once was the stat guy for a baseball team. I see that when the third out comes from the batter grounding out with a runner on base forced out., they say he was "safe on a fielder's choice. Can a runner be "safe" if he did not actually reach first safely?

Nice play, bunt and the lead runner out at 3rd. Still men at 1st and 2nd. Pop up and intoned fly rule. Now 2 on 2 out.
